On July 12, 2023 I contracted with *************************, owner of Integra Residential Designs to repair a crawl space footing as well as repair and/or replace various areas of our cedar sided home. The agreed upon price was approximately $5,200 including materials. I provided a down payment of $2988.00 that was to cover the cost of a lift and materials as well as approximately $600 in labor. The work was supposed to start on Wednesday, July 14 but it didn't start until July 16. The lift was delivered around 8:30 and ******** and one additional worker showed up around 9:30. I had to read the manual to them in order to get the lift started. Work began around 10:00 am and ******** left the site around 11:00, returning around 3:00 PM. In the hour he was here, he and the helper trimmed two trees. Little to no work was done on the house. At 3:30 they began working on the front balcony and completed the work around 5:00. Upon inspection, I noticed that the wood was not cedar and that the craftsmanship was horrible. He used the wrong size lumber as well, requiring him to add in additional 2 foot pieces in order to cover the area. Upon inspecting the work the next day, I noticed that the 2 foot sections were not nailed to two of the floor stringers but rather, were floating in space on one side. ******** promised to return on Saturday and Sunday to complete the work using the lift that I paid for. ******** did not show up as promised and I fired him Monday around 11:00 am when he arrived alone on the site. I subsequently had the balcony work ripped out and re-done by another contractor using the proper materials and carpentry.
