On March 4, 2023, I legally parked my ***** CRV in my apartments parking lot, my car is registered to my apartment via Contract Towing with the appropriate tags. On 3/04/2023, I traveled out of state and when I returned on 03/20/2023 I could not find my car in the same spot where I left it. On 3/20/23, I called Contract Towing to inquire if they had my car, they denied it. I called the police who informed me that the car was with Contract Towing. I called Contract Towing a second time, they said that they towed my vehicle on 3/09/23 at 4:03am for taking up too much space," and that they released my car on 3/09/23 to a man named ***********************. They said he picked my car up from Contract Towing with his Drivers License and a key, and that I should go file a police report. Ive never heard that name before and no one else has access to my car. I immediately filed a police report for stolen vehicle and filed a claim with my insurance. Then on 03/21/2023 my insurance called Contract Towing, and after being transferred 3 different times even to the Contract Towings headquarters, they eventually admitted to my insurance that my car was with them. Contract towing illegally towed my car, but made me pay $216 and $540.00 ($45.00 x 12 days) total of $758.50 before I could get my car out of their parking lot. I believe someone else drove my car, because the seat and steering settings were changed, and I could not conveniently drive my car out of their parking lot until I brought the steering down and readjusted the seat to fit my height. The police detective I spoke to stated that Contract Towing stole my car out of my parking lot and made me pay for it. Contract Towing on 3/21/23 denied that someone else stole my car from them and insisted that I could only get my car back after paying. They said conversations I had with their representative were recorded, I have a witness too. I will like to receive a refund and compensation for stealing and driving my car.

I have lived at my current location for three years where contract towing is our parking management contractor. Ive never had an issue with my annual registration so it stands to reason that I am familiar with the process. I logged online to their website, located my information and clicked renew. I entered all of my credit card info, clicked submit and was given a receipt of the transaction detailing a new expiry in **** as well as a $25 charge. At this point I think Im good but on the 9th I find my vehicle has been towed. I called and they said I should not be able to accomplish this on the website, that instead I need to call to renew which has not been the case in the past. I was not issued a refund for the tow and was made to pay the full amount inspire of the obvious oversight. The subsequent three days following the tow I personally attempted to recover the vehicle, but the impound lot was not staffed. Luckily the storage fees were waived. I had also emailed their ceo to no avail. He ignored three emails on the subject. I have now recovered the vehicle today on the fourth day and paid the full tow fee. Receipt attached for annual registration and tow fee
