Our contractor, Brown Tree Service, was recommended by a friend and a family member. We believed they could be trusted to do the right job. Our contact at Brown is arborist *************************. He gave us a proposal, stating that, for the sum of $1800, Brown would remove and carry away the tree, and would remove and carry away the *****. Any ***** chips and other debris would also be carried away. October 11, 2021 was a ****, but dry day. ****** and his team arrived during the late morning, and were quickly able to remove the three and carry away all the wood. As they were finishing the tree removal, the weather become more ominous and a light sprinkle quickly turned into a steady rainfall. ****** informed me that they would have to return to remove the ***** another, dryer day. He stated that he would finish the job in "a few days." It rained steadily that entire week. As soon as it became dry, I contacted **************** to inquire as to when they could finish. Either I was told it was not dry yet, or, more often than not, my calls and e-mails were not responded to. Brown Tree Service removed my backyard gate to make room for the ***** grinder. I have been without a gate for a month! Sure...I would like an apology, but that would solve nothing. I want my ***** removed, and carried away along with its chips and debris. Then, I want my gate reinstalled. I want a range of dates, within which they could finish the job. But, at very minimum, I deserve a reply to my calls and e-mails. There's nothing more frustrating than silence. There is no need to publish a negative complaint for three years. I'm not seeking to kill the business. I just want to be made whole.Business response

First off apologies for the delay in the ***** removal, which was all due to the rain and wet ground. It does not matter if it stopped raining for several days, it depends on how much it rained and how saturated is the ground. The ***** crew knows exactly when the conditions are good to have the extremely heavy machine on the lawn, so it does not ruin the lawn. As of 11/15/21, my records show the ***** has been removed. I will follow up to make sure the fence was put back together. There are a lot of different factors involved at times to get the job completed in a safe, undestructive fashion.
