I came across the advert of ************** owner (******** *******) on ******** claiming he is able to teach Cyber Security Program to anyone who has no knowledge of IT and can be able to get a job within 45days or less. He encouraged us to join his webinar for more info about the program, which I did.He said, if you go through the program and you don't get a value for your money and you are not able to secure a 6 figure paying job, that he would refund you. Based on that, I went ahead and made a payment. The main other reason why I am requesting my refund is because I didn't know when he promised to guide us on how to successfully pass our Professional Exam(ISACA) was by cheating. He referred me to his contact and the person asked me to make my payment and get back to him and that on the day of the said Exam, he would be the one taking over my computer and writing the Exams for me and not me, The main other reason why I am requesting my refund is because I didn't know when he promised to guide us on how to successfully pass our Professional Exam was by cheating. Date of transaction is March 16th 2024 I enrolled in Excelcybermind, a cybersecurity training bootcamp run by *********************** on March 16th 2024 attracted by the promise that it could turn a complete novice into a cybersecurity expert in just 90 days. This claim, as I painfully learned, is not only unrealistic but also grossly misleading, leading me to caution others about my experience.Misleading Promises: The central premise of the programthat someone with no IT background could become a cybersecurity expert in under two monthsis profoundly deceptive. The "training" provided consists of pre-recorded videos that are far from sufficient for the profound understanding and skills required in cybersecurity. He also promised to help get CRISC and CISA certifications but nothing! They did my resume but looking at it, no potential employer would recruit me with such resume. Few weeks ago, I emailed him to get a refund and the success manager said they couldnt because the program delivered what it said it would deliver but it did NOT. It even promised for people like me that have zero background in IT to get a job by the end of the bootcamp or even before if lucky. The operations of Excelcybermind, under ***********************, prey on the aspirations of those eager to enter the cybersecurity field. The too-good-to-be-true marketing does not deliver on its promises, leading instead to potential financial loss and ethical quandaries for its students.

**********************************, did a ******** advert about teaching people how to earn six figures salary in 90 days of attending his cybersecurity program for the sum of USD $2,999.00. He promised to provide a full refund at any time. I paid the full course fee of USD $2,999.00 on March 18, 2024 and got registered for the course on March 19, 2024. I was granted an online access with pre-recorded introductory video and access to online training materials. I started accessing the training materials and have seen 9% of the entire course uploaded on my online portal. I got worried when I viewed the introductory video, where ********************************** said he will help students to create a fake LinkedIn account with unverified/ fictitous past experience in order to get jobs. I then went online to check reviews and saw similar complaints from past students who were worried about same issues and one particular about a mercenary writing professional certifications on behalf of students in order to pass 100%.I couldn't continue with this level of deceit. It was clear to me that the training would not be beneficial to me and I had important family issues to attend to and could not catch up with the hours for reading and watching uploaded videos. I approached ******************************* for a refund on March 30, 2024. I didn't get a response until April 4, 2024 that I was not eligible for a refund. Mr ******** during his advert and introductory videos claimed a 90 days money back guarantee and never mentioned anything related to eligibility. From reviews online and the ones I have read, it's a similar situation for most students. This is fraud. The cybersecurity program needs to investigated and money refunded to students who request for refunds. Reviews about this fraud can be found on *******************************************************************

I registered for a training on 3/4/2024 through a webinar for cyber security and wired the payment $3000 the next day on 3/5/2024. I attended a second webinar he posted the evening of the same day I wired the payment and *********************** the owner and host of the program during the * & A session advised the audience that the program is not for people in their 60s and up because you would not have a lot of years to work before retirement. So he would advise people in that age group not to invest in the program. At this time I had wired my $3000 that afternoon already. I sent an email for a refund because I told him I am 59 yrs this year. I only have 6 yrs to retire. And I dont think I can compete with the younger candidate in that field IT. What is more I told him I do not think I can learn all the volumes of the training. During the webinar I realized there is a lot to learn. He responded my email by saying he understands my position but advised me to consider giving access of my paid program to my son who is younger and I said No. I even explained that my son has his own business and doing well. What is more he said he has no time at this time to take on a new training. He has refused to refund the money. He doesnt respond to my emails. He has gone silence on my request to refund my money. All my emails to him indicates seen or read by him. So I know he is just ignoring me. The training has not even started but he is refusing to refund my $3000. They have a 45 days money refund policy after the training. I have not even started the training. I dont know when the training starts. Yet he is refusing to refund the $3000 I wired him via my bank to his account. He has confirmed receipt of my payment because I sent him my proof of payment. I even told him someone said on Trustpilot that refund with him and his company becomes a tag of war. And I said I hope that is not what I will be experiencing with this refund. Today is the 6th day without a response. Help me

Date of transaction: 12/19/2023 The transaction was for $1999 and that was for cybersecurity class that was to start on January 8th. The merchant had stated that the class would be in the evenings after 8pm EST. That would be best for me since I work during business hours. However, on the day that the class was to start, the merchant sent an email to everyone stating that the course would be at 3pm CST or 4pm EST. That was not good for me and the merchant insisted that was best for him. he stated that I could view the recordings. That is not what I signed up for.I requested a full refund of the $1999 I had paid on December 19, 2023. The merchant refused and stated that I had 24 hours to cancel and he could not refund for security purposes. That made no sense to since I would not have known that the class would have changed on January 8, ****. The merchant has also removed me from Telegram and prevented from displaying my disappointment there.I have not accessed any of the materials since I do not what to with them. I just want my $1999 back. The merchant is dishonest.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/05/2024

    COMPLAINT ID: ********.

    Introduction
Excelmindcyber is a cybersecurity training institute that doubles a consultancy firm providing various cybersecurity solutions to businesses. Our training program is focused on Governance, Risk and Compliance in Cybersecurity.

    Response to Complaint.
*********************** signed up for our cybersecurity training program on the 19th of December, 2023 after a live masterclass. During the webinar, we explained the process of our program.
Our students are first exposed to self-paced video lessons on our program portal for the first two weeks of joining the program. This implies that upon sign-up, every student is granted instant access to the program portal.

Below is a demo login credential likened to what the customer received.

    Login page: *************************************************************
    Email: *******************************
Password: LXrlv1J0 (this is a temporary auto-generated password. We suggest that you change it immediately upon logging in).

The screenshot on the attachment on this response shows that **** was able to login using the credentials he received.

The estimated length of all resources on this courseware is 28 hours.Hence, students are expected to spend 2 weeks going through these resources.
The next step after this phase is the Practical Implementation classes which is the point of complaint for this student. In response to this:
In our live masterclasses, onboarding calls, and customer service policy, we do not make mention of a time when classes are held. We only let them know that we hold practical classes but some people due to their schedule might not make it to these live classes so we upload every class recording and provide all-round support to students just in case they have questions after going through the recording. Countless times, our tutors get on one-on-one calls with students to explain concepts that were not clear on the recordings. We put in these efforts to ensure that no one misses out on any activity on the program.

Before now, the live classes were held at 4 pm CST, some students complained that it was late in their region. The decision of 3pm is an attempt to accommodate the schedule of as many students as possible.
This process has worked effectively for close to a year with lots of success stories.
    Telegram Group Removal
To ensure effective communication, we maintain a ************** for all new clients or students until they complete the onboarding session, which occurs on Saturdays following sign-up. Once the session is completed, students are removed from the ************** and added to our ***************** (we send the Discord link to the students email), and the student in question should have the link in their email from us.
The removal from the ************** is a crucial part of our process and not intended to silence any complaints.

    Refund Request
Students have requested refunds, and we have politely explained that there is a process in place for such requests. Refunds are granted to individuals who, after 45 days of training, demonstrate that we have not fulfilled our promises of training them to become employable GRC professionals. In some cases, students may face unforeseen circumstances such as the loss of a family member within 24 hours of signing up, and we are compassionate enough to understand that certain situations may warrant exceptions to our policies. If a student misses a live class, they can review the recording, work on projects, and if still unclear, we have staff available to schedule a brief call to clarify any confusion.

    Proposed Resolution

I sincerely appreciate the Better Business Bureau for providing my business with the opportunity to present our perspective. This is not a confrontation because it is in our best interest for our students to succeed. Therefore, we are committed to supporting the customer every step of the way. We are prepared to assign a dedicated manager to the student to ensure that their needs are addressed promptly and that they never miss out on any activities.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.

I am rejecting this response because:

The merchant has not reached out to me to resolve my issue. The merchant has not set up a new time that is convenient for me. The merchant has $1999 that I sent and has not tried to resolve the issue.

    Sincerely,
