On November 20, 2023, Midas in ******* did a bad job replacing the right side front axle seal. I went back twice requesting that Midas repair the seal properly and they refused to do so, which jeopardized my safety as well as the safety of my family. On December 19, 2023 I mailed a complaint letter to the Midas International Customer Relations in writing and via telephone. The owner (Sunny) of the Midas shop in Lombard called me and asked me to meet him at the Midas shop to receive a refund check for $301.99. However, when I asked that he mail the check, he refused to do so. I had paid for invoice #******* with my Midas credit card. Therefore, I disputed the $301.99 charge on January 3, 2024. ************** contacted the owner of Midas. However, he is refusing to refund $301.99 to my Midas credit card. That is why am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please, see a copy of the complaint letter that I mailed to Midas International Customer Relations regarding this matter. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. *************************

I am rejecting this response because: Midas did not respond to **************'s inquiry. I had to wait from January 03, 2024 until February 2024 for a refund because the merchant did not respond to **************'s inquiry regarding my request for a refund. That is why I contacted the BBB. ************** did not refund $301.99 until after I lodged this complaint.

    Sincerely,

On 02/25/2023 I went into Midas asking can they fix a oil leak because I had just left another car shop that told me they couldnt give me a oil change because I had a oil leak. Midas Auto shop told me that they could give me an oil change knowing that I said there was an oil leak they said they could fix the oil leak after they give me the oil change. After they inspected the car after giving me an oil change then told me I will have to go get the engine cleaned so they could see where the leaks were coming from. I went got the engine cleaned to bring it back and the told me serval different leaks was going on with the car I asked will they be able to fix it they told me yes gave me the total it would be I gave them ******** to fix the leaks and whatever else they said was wrong for them too have my car fir 6 weeks he kept telling me they could t find where the leaks was coming from had to order serval different parts. They called for me to pick the car up before I could make it out the shop hood from driving off the car started smoking inside and out the car I turned around and took it right back he told me it was probably some oil burning from off. Kept the car for another 3 weeks for them to tell me they had to send it to another one of there car shops for them to fix the problem. Go pick up the car it was driving worser then it was when I took it in. After picking the car up I had it a few weeks it started back leaking **************** I also asked for the air conditioner to be fixed I was charge another $375 that was something that should have been included with the price if they told me everything that was wrong with the car now its back leak **************** I have ti keep buying **************** because the leaks are fast. Take the car back they tell me they dont have anything to do with was going on with the car now that will be another job to pay for I dont feel they fixed anything from the start and whatever they did caused more problems.

    Dear ***/*****,

As per Ms. ****** statement regarding her vehicles service: Firstly, we provided her with our own car as a loaner for her to use while her car was in for service, completely free of cost for the entire time. Her vehicle came in for service back in February of this year. The parts that we found to be leaking oil were replaced (oil filter assembly as well as a couple of oil gaskets in the turbocharger). After this service, she came back after five months, claiming that oil is leaking from her engine. This time, the leak was from a different part of the engine, which had nothing to do with anything that we performed on her car. The parts we replaced were all dry (no leaks or issues), and were all still functioning properly. She also stated that the car was leaking antifreeze, which was not something to do with the engines oil leaking. The $375 blower motor replacement was a totally different job and was on a different work order, not related to the engine work.
    Regards,
    Midas Lombard
