On 9/19/24 I called and Allstate Representative to have them quote me for an auto policy. I explained to then my current provider planed to increase my premium due to my moving. I gave her my current and new address and the Allstate Rep ****** stated my rate would not increase due to the new address change. She quoted me and the 6mo premium came in cheaper than my current. I agreed to switch and become a new member. I called my provider the next day and canceled my policy with them as I had switched to Allstate. I get in their app and get my Insurance ID card and the wrong address is on my ID card. I try to change my address and the site tells me my premium is increasing by 100 dollars. On 9/20/2024 I called Allstate to discuss this increase as their *** assured me my rate wouldn't change. I spoke with ***** and he advised that I was misinformed, I asked to speak to a manager and after being placed on a brief hold ***** comes back on the line and says his manager is saying the same thing. There is nothing they can do, my rate will increase when I move. The whole purpose of me changing insurance companies was to save money, I would think that Allstate would rectify their Representative giving out incorrect information and absorbing the cost difference, but instead I am told to basically deal with it. Day 1 as a customer and I'm already being ill advised/lied to and pushed off. Do better Allstate.Review from Xiao L

Filed a claim via the Allstate mobile app and selected a repair shop within their network. After getting the inspection done at the shop, I called the shop to follow up on the estimate. I was told by the shop that they uploaded to the Allstate system. I then reached out to Allstate to request a copy of the estimate, which I was told it's being reviewed. Three or four business days later, I followed up again and was told that the review is still underway and it should be completed the following day. I waited a few more days before I followed up for the third time. At this point, I was told that Allstate never received the estimate, which means my claim has made zero progress and I've wasted two weeks of my time waiting. This is still ongoing but I have to really advocate for myself to get this claim moving forward.Review from Delores C

On Wednesday, January 18th I had to file a claim for flooding of mostly the first floor of my two story home. It was caused by what ********* said was that the meter had frozen. It was so cold that the water in the toilet bowls and tanks were frozen solid. When the gas was restored, the pipes burst, causing the flood. The claim was filed on that day. I've had nothing but problems since. Here it is past September 18th, and we're still not being paid for repairs and lodging. First, it took from January to mid March for the 1st payment to give the construction company to get started. The adjuster told me that I had live on my 2nd floor. I have a slab home, so my vents were filled with water on the 1st floor, therefore holding the mold and the mildew for months until I was given enough in the second reconstruction payment to have the airducts cleaned in May. That was only after several calls, emails complaining to EVERYONE. During that time, being 64yrs old with disabilities and heart conditions, I decided that I need to split the difference, and stay outside of the house with a friend for 3 of the 7 nights per week. I had been paid ****** for the lodging the first few days, and others I know who this same issue, were put in hotels by their insurance companies. I was never asked for any documentation whatsoever for that payment, but I sent in the billing receipts weekly, or biweekly, faithfully. Now I'm being told I need a signed lease agreement and proof of payment on bank statements. The airduct tech told me I should have give been GIVEN an "air scrubber or air purifier". That was in May or June, by the time I had enough to pay them. The construction is hounding me for their final payment, which they and I was told was sent on August 8th by emails from the adjuster, never mind I had never gotten a payment that way ever, and still haven't. The reconstruction was completed in June, everything was submitted for payment ***** to that. As of today, nothing but lies. Zero!Review from Erick C

My daughter's parked car was in a hit and run that damaged the output shaft of the transaxle and left it undrivable. Fortunately a security camera caught the driver and license plate and we were able to file a claim with the perpetrator's insurance which is Allstate. We had been told multiple times how they would arrange a virtual appraisal with us and consistently did not follow through. Then they specified a shop to do the appraisal and we had the car towed there. They then canceled the appraisal and I had to call and get it rescheduled with the shop. Then they decided to do a virtual appraisal with the receptionist at the shop and noted the mechanical damages that disabled the car as being pre existing. We agreed to us participating in a virtual assessment or a qualified shop doing one. We did not agree to some random receptionist doing one. Allstate then emailed an estimate for just cosmetic repairs by email. Despite calling daily since filing the claim we still have not been able to talk to an adjuster. They have an aggravating automated call system that at best directs you to a call center for "claims specialists" that are just there to tell you they aren't who you need to speak with and they won't be connecting you to anyone that can help. Allstate, why are you punishing my child for being a victim of crime?Review from Brandon W

Allstate telemarketers continue to contact me after asking to be put on the no call list several times. I'm wondering if I have a case for a lawsuit or not? They call from different phone numbers so it's impossible for me to block them. They call me weekly.Review from Andrea W

****** ********, ***** ************** leader is no more help then him. He took a month to pay us out for one room that nobody came to document the items, shoes and clothing items were taken to be cleaned. Our items being cleaned were done in great time but was waiting on payment for us to get our textiles. Since we are now in another state they will not help us. Our items are paid for but now for us to find away to get. We were offered to stay with family after our house fire so our animals and us could be together and have more than a hotel rooms space. Those two have no compassion.Review from Larry R

Not only can I not cancel at a future date, but I've called twice and was first told I can cancel at a future date it just had to be 30 days in advance, then I called at 30 days, and then they told me I had to cancel within 14 days, and now they're telling me it can't be a future date at all, only the present date or backdated. This is hugely inconvenient for somebody trying to pack up and leave and have everything sorted by the time they leave.Review from James C

Claims process denied for and insured event. On August 18th my vehicle doors were left open by the ***** dealership for day(s). Allstate claims that the damage to the car is less that the $50.00 deductible. Allstate claims that their customers are in good hands, this is currently not holding true. The Adjuster on the phone informed me that this is covered under comprehensive, however his manager made the decision that dealing with Tesla and my Allstate insured car is my responsibility. This is unjust.Review from Andrea W

This insurance company does not have compassion for the clients that pay them. We had a house fire and it has been one thing after another and I feel like Allstate is not a company you are in good hands with. You are the criminal until proven innocent by them.Review from Carla L

On August ******* Allstate's client hit my parked Truck and since then its been h*** They told me I had to release my truck from the tow company to Copart with the explanation that the adjuster would go see the Truck at the Copart location in ***** IL. After that the adjuster would contact me to confirm if it was a total loss or not. After I released my truck to copart. The Adjuster never contacted me. A week later all I received was an email and text with an update.. it was an offer. I contacted the loss department and declined the offer or any settlement with them. The day after that I was contacted again regarding the same thing if I was going to accept the offer and again I declined. I told them they need to tell the adjuster to get in contact with me because until then he had not called me explaining anything. I received a message from the adjuster saying he would contact me shortly which he never did. Instead they had another adjuster call me hours later her name *********. I called back last Friday Sept. 13 she wasn't available so I spoke with ****. I also told him I wasn't accepting any offer. Because the offer is so low its a joke. They expect me to replace my truck with what the so called offer. Well now I received a text/email with claim update that says I accepted settlement on Sept ****** that's a lie and now I received an email to send in my title. Which I am not! I need Allstate to contact me and explain this. What kind Fraud are you guys committing. I have asked to speak to a higher up about this and all I got was an email. I emailed this person waiting on response. They are putting me out of a vehicle completely at this point I would like my truck fixed and back with me. I am not at fault your client is. Lack of communication from them and lies I have NOT accepted the Offer or settlement.
