We returned my mother's car to Lans City Auto Rebuilders after they initially failed to properly repair several components. Not only were many parts incorrectly installed, sealed down, but it also appeared as though they used old, worn pieces instead of ordering the correct new parts for our car. This shop operates more like a "chop shop," where they allegedly take parts from other vehicles and reuse them. When insurance companies pay them to repair cars, they seemingly replace damaged parts with old, substandard ones. After returning the car for the second time to address these issues, my mother's car battery was stolen and replaced with a faulty one. She was only able to drive the car for less than a day before it wouldnt start at all. A few weeks later, a different mechanic confirmed that Lans City Auto Rebuilders had indeed switched her battery with an old, non-functional one.Given our experience, I strongly discourage anyone from taking their vehicle to this establishment or for any insurance company to recommend them. Their practices are dishonest and harmful, and they should be investigated for theft and substandard repair work.

Filed by an agent. His insurance company requested this company to repair his car. He ended up taking the car to this shop who had it for months and stated they repaired his issues, but he noticed when he drove off, he was having the same issues. He would like to have his car repaired since he has paid them his deductible and the insurance paid him.

August 13, 2022, I was involved in a car accident. The insurance adjustor has inspected my vehicle and I took my vehicle to Lans City Auto Rebuilders on August 15, 2022, for the body repair work. I was able to pick up my vehicle on September 13, approx. 11am, which I paid $750 cash Co payment (receipt provided). Everything seemed to be working fine until I opened the passenger door and discovered the door was rubbing against the frame of the fender, which the owners son took care of and touched up the the scraped area with paint. I then took my vehicle for a routine maintenance on October 17, 2022, the technician notified me that the washer solvent was running straight through the washer pump and not retaining any solvent (*************************************************************************************************). The washer pump was a part which was replaced due to the above mentioned accident. I contacted Lans City Auto Rebuilders on Oct 17, and informed **** who is the owner of the issue which was not repaired regarding the washer pump. He informed me to drop off the vehicle for inspection. I dropped off the vehicle on October 26 (10:15am) and picked up on Oct 27, 2022(9:45AM). **** informed me that the washer pump was replaced but a gasket was missing to stop the fluid from draining out. **** also mentioned that the part was approximately $4.00 and he would have to order it and hate it was not taken off the previous part but will notify me when it comes in. I followed up November 16, 2022 - February 16, 2023. The responses that I have received started with, I ordered it and I have to order it again, it has not come in but I have your number, no one has it in stock, then it switched to Bill is not in call tomorrow (although he answered the phone), and last was this is the tow truck driver call **** tomorrow (again Bill the owner is the one who answered the phone). I am confident who I spoke with because I had been a customer for the past 10 years and I know the voices.I have called 4 Audi dealers to inquire if they had a rubber gasket for a washer pump on a 2014 Audi A6, which all have stated they were in stock, and the price quoted above was verified. Those dealers which I called are as follows, Team Audi, ****************, *************, and *********************************************************** is unacceptable, and I have concluded that Lans City Auto Rebuilders has no intention of completing the repair of my vehicle, so I want to request that I receive the $750 which I paid returned and I will gladly take my business elsewhere. The part may seem minor but its causing a major issue when driving 80+ miles on a highway daily to and from work and unable to clean your windshield from the salt and debris that is covering the windshield (white coating) which has enabled full driving capability. And some days having to take UBER to work due to the weather conditions and ability not being able to see through the windshield to full capacity.Attached is a link from the dealer showing the issue, and the receipt of the payment.
