    I AM CURRENTLY STAYING AT THE SUPER 8 IN JOLIET. AROUND 9:30A I RECIEVED A CALL FROM AN UNK MALE FROM THE ***** DESK. HE IMMEDIATELY STARTED YELLING AND STATED THAT IT WAS MANDATORY FOR ME TO LET HOUSEKEEPING INTO MY ROOM SO THAT THEY CAN CLEAN. I DID HAVE A DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON THE DOOR DUE TO ME WORKING. I EXPLAINED THAT I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF WORKING AND THAT THE ROOM WAS CLEAN SINCE I HAD CLEANED IT THE ***** BEFORE. HE CONTIUNED TO YELL SO I DISCONNECTED THE CALL TO FINISH MY CURRENT WORK CALL. AFTER I WENT DOWNSTAIRS TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. I ASKED HIS NAME AND TITLE AND HE POINTED TO THE **** STATING THAT HE WAS THE MANAGER *********************. I STATED THAT I AM A TRAVEL AGENT AND HAVE NEVER KNOW HOUSEKEEPING TO BE MANDATORY HOWEVER, I HAVE A BREAK AT 10:45A AND WOULDN'T MIND THEM CLEANING THE ROOM AT THAT ****. HE CONTIUNED TO **** STATING THAT HE PAYS THEM TO DO A JOB AND THEY WILL DO WHATEVER HE TELLS THEM. I WALKED AWAY AND WENT BACK UPSTAIRS TO WORK. 10 MINS LATER AT 10:35A A HOUSEKEEPER KNOCKED AND I DID NOT ANSWER DUE TO ME BEING ON ANOTHER CALL AND I HAD JUST CONFIRMED WITH HIM THAT I WOULD BE ON A BREAK AT 10:45A. THE HOUSEKEEPER THEN PROCEEDED TO USE THE MASTER KEY TO OPEN THE DOOR, THE TOP LATCH PREVENTED ENTRY. I CALLED DOWNSTAIRS AND INFORMED ***** ONCE AGAIN OF THE **** AND THAT HIS STAFF HAD USED THEIR KEY TO OPEN THE DOOR. HE SAID "YEAH OK" AND DISCONNECTED THE CALL. UPON LEAVING OUT AT 10:45A I CALLED THE CORPORATE ************** AT EXACTLY 10:58A. I SPOKE WITH *** IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHO FILED A *******************. I INFORMED HER OF THE INCIDENT, SHE STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE IN CONTACT. UPON MY RETURN AT 11:35A I WALKED IN WITH MY 3 YEAR OLD SON AND I INFORMED HIM THAT I DID SPEAK WITH SOMEONE AND WAS NOT TOLD THAT THE HOUSEKEEPING WAS NOT MANDATORY. HE PROCEED TO **** AND VERBALLY HARASS ME FOR FILING THE COMPLAINT AGANIST HIM AND STATED THAT HE COULD HAVE ME REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY. I DID NOT ENGAGE AND I ENTERED THE ELEVATOR AND TOLD HIM TO HAVE A NICE ***. I THEN PROCEED TO CALL THE JOLIET POLICE DEPARTMENT @11:39A TO SEE IF THEY WERE ABLE TO DE-ESCALATE THE SITUATION, I WAS TOLD BY THE DISPATCHER THAT IT IS A CIVIL MATTER BEFORE I COULD FINISH EXPLAINING WHAT WAS GOING ON. I THEN DISCONNECTED THE CALL AND REACHED OUT TO MY SPOUSE WHO LEFT WORK TO HELP DE-ESCALTE THE SITUATION. I CAME DOWN AFTER MY WORK CALL TO MEET HIM TO DIRECTLY TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION. AS I WAS SPEAKING TO MY SPOUSE ***** CONTINUED TO YELL AT ME EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT ADDRESS HIM DIRECTLY. MY SPOUSE THEN STEPPED IN AGAIN TO ADDRESS ***** AND HE STOPPED ******* AND PROCEED TO ANSWER THE ****** AFTER HIS CALL, ***** STATED THAT I BROKE THE RULES BY HAVING MY KIDS THERE. MY CHILDREN ARE 3 & 6 AND THE **** POLICY STATED THAT ALL CHILDREN UNDER 17 STAY FREE. THEY WERE VISITING SINCE I TRAVEL SO MUCH. THE COMPANY'S WEB**** AS WELL AS THE TRAVELER'S **** EXPEDIA **** STATES THAT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 17 STAY FREE. MY CHILDREN ARE 3 & 6 SO I ASSUMED THAT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE AGAIN AFTER MY WORK FOR THE *** TO CONFIRM THE POLICY. I SPOKE WITH ACCOUNT *************************** ABBY ***** WHO STATED THAT SINCE THE PROPERTY IS PRIVATE OWNED THEY HAVE THEIR OWN RULES AND POLICIES. SHE ALSO STATED THAT THEY CAN ENTER THE ROOM IF THEY FEEL LIKE IT EVEN WITH ME BEING IN THE ROOM DESPITE THE COMPANY'S POLICY. I CONFIRMED THAT THE CALL WAS BEING RECORDED AND ASKED IF THAT IS STILL THE **** WHEN THE COMPANY POLICY STATES OTHERWISE. SHE STATED YES! THE COMPANY POLICY POSTED STATES THAT HOUSEKEEPING IS PER REQUEST NOT ********** ****** ARE FREE. AS A TRAVEL AGENT I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A LOCATION WHO DID NOT FOLLOW THEIR OWN POLICY. I AM AT THIS LOCATION UNTIL SATUR*** 2/24/2024 AND AM NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SOMEONE BEING ABLE TO ENTER MY ROOM WHENEVER THEY PLEASE. I DO NOT LIVE IN IL I AM TRAVELING FROM ******** HERE FOR WORK.
