1 starI purchased a ******* refrigerator 16 years ago from Sears. On December 17 I called for a technician and he came the same day and said he had to order parts and won't be back until January 21. I'm a diabetic and my insulin needs to be refrigerated. I was told to call back after Christmas, then after New Year then 3-5 business days after. The technicians that were assigned to show up never came and one refused to show up because he can't get the part needed. He ordered parts and said he would be here on February 17, 2025. All I have received is call back, escalation 3 times and, call back in 3-5 days. I'm paying for a Sears warranty and not receiving any help at all. I'm grateful for winter because I can put my food on the deck. I only get dates and bad customer service. If I need my insulin I have to go 1/2 hour away just to get it. I need a refrigerator or my warranty money back.Review fromRhonda S

1 starI have schedule three repair appointments to get my washer fixed. Sears has cancelled all three of them. Sears gives you an appointment time of 8-5 therefore you have to take off work the whole day. Two of the days it was 4:45 before they canceled the third time was at 11:00. So I have wasted 3 days waiting on Sears. I have scheduled a 4th appointment for Thursday 12/26/24. They will not reimburse for the laundry mat cost.Review fromChristopher M

1 starRefrigerator problems started in June they came out several times to replace parts or diagnose the problem dealing with the office side of their group is horrible at best. Finally September 5th they sent an actual ********** that used a meter and figured out that the wire harness was grounded. This deemed it un repairable. At this point we had over 60 phone calls with them for appointments or parts ordered. Forward to September 17th they say they need a second ********** to confirm the refrigerator is not repairable. 2 weeks later the ********** shows up doesnt even come in my house. He used the other **********s notes and pictures posts it into their system and gets me to sign off. Fast forward into October they say its a high dollar amount claim needing further approval. I called 2 times a week every week getting the run around and no answer. Forward to November by now I replaced the fridge myself I finally got a supervisor in the sales department that 3 way called the department I have been dealing with. He listened to my conversation with them then when he was completely frustrated he chimed in on the situation with them. With no change to the situation 3 days later I received a email then a phone call that I was approved for a replacement. They come to the conclusion they would pay 2611 dollars on November 6th and promised the check was being sent that day. Here we are December 12th and no check and more b.s. something about the check writing system is down. Im so tired and completely ****** off with this company everyone beware and stay away from these people absolutely ridiculousReview fromRachel C

1 starI purchased the Sears Home Protection Plan for $64.10 a month because my refrigerator stopped being cold back in May 24. I purchased the plan in May 2024 after a technician came to diagnose my fridge. I have currently paid 7 months @$64.10. This protection plan is supposed to cover certain major appliances and if one becomes in need of repair, they will repair it after paying a $100 deductible. I called in August for a service request to get my fridge repaired, the same technician came back out and again said I would need a new compressor, he did not fix it that day. I had to wait to call for repair as there is a waiting period. I scheduled another appointment that same day for Nov 26 & the technician ordered the compressor & other part for fridge at previous appointment. November 26th came around and the same technician was to come out and fix fridge; I took the day off and at 3pm I received a call that the technician had cancelled. I called customer service and spoke to 4 different departments all claiming they had escalated it and got a new service appointment of Dec. 5th. I once again cleared my day and waited from 8-3:30 for the same technician ****** to arrive, @ 3:30pm I called customer service and they had put out a request for ****** to update me when hed be arriving. At 4:30pm I called back and the robot service said my appointment had to be rescheduled again. I had to call a different department to even reach someone who I told I wanted someone out next day or I would be cancelling the plan and wanted all my money back. I got on with live chat today dec 6th to confirm if they had someone coming out, NOPE! I am rescheduled for Dec 10th now, the worker has no idea how to replace compressor. The agent said my claim was escalated to management but I highly doubt it. This plan is a complete scam!Review fromJohn R.

1 starI don't even know where to ********* about the technician told me that he doesn't work well with someone looking over his shoulder. Really? OK if that's not bad enough, when the Tech was leaving i asked if he had the old part. He told me that he left it on top of the washing machine. I asked could he discard of the old part. He proceeded to tell me that they don't take the old parts with them..... I slammed the door and heard something outside. After reviewing my video camera footage, i have a recording of ******* calling me a "STUPID A** N*****".WOW!!!SEARS should be so proud of ******* A.I could go on and on about my entire experience from start to finish but i don't have the time. I will NEVER EVER do business with SEARS again. I hope you guys go completely bankrupt as you should.Review fromJoe G

1 starBeen screwed over by this company SO bad. A month ago we were supposed to get the fridge repaired but they actually caused an oil leak that contaminated the fridge and caused it to work worse. 6 parts ordered and like 12 appointments and 6 promises of being called back by a supervisor and they KEEP lying to me. I just need a new fridge at this point because my son is a diabetic and he needs his insulin kept cool. Because the tech did damage a month ago i lost thousands of USD worth of insulin and they will do nothing about any of this. Honestly the WORST company I have EVER dealt with in my life.Review fromGayle P

1 starRefrigerator quit and Sears was quick to come out and give us a quote. Gave us a quote, which we accepted and they demanded payment that day. Told us it would take 2 weeks to get parts. Scheduled appointment. Parts came in 3 days. Called trying to get a sooner repair date and just got the run around. Someone would cal…never did. The scheduled appointment ( between 8-5) arrived they sent text telling us they would be here and updates on times (1:06, 2:36, 4:45, 6:00, 7:05). No notice that they were not coming. Waited for 11 hours. I called the company, they apologized said they would send someone out the next morning. Again, same thing different day. At least this time the send a text telling us that the technician was not able to make it and would reschedule next day. (Now going on day 3 - having to miss work and 16 days without a refrigerator) I still do not have my refrigerator repaired.Review fromjan m

1 starWow! Reading these reviews leads me to know this is a horrible company, very unprofessional customer service. My expierence is very similar to what I'm reading. We got into the Sears Protect Program we continued through the year. I called to cancel my Appliance Plan and at that time I was asked why, I said we are going to buy new appliances and no longer wish to keep the service. She then told me I had a $1000 dollar voucher I had not used.. Well stupid me got roped right in. Said okay we will sign up for the plan again and accept the vouchuer. They said I had to auto- deduct from the account for the monthly payments no paper bill in the mail. I went online purchased a new fridge. It was supposed to be delivered on October 4th and there was a no show. I called to ask where the delivery guys were and they said I'm sorry you won't get your fridge today its held up at the vender. I said who is the vender and when will they be delivering the fridge? Asked to talk to the supervisor and I need to schedule a new delivery date, they said they didn't know who the vender was. I then asked to speak to a supervisor once more and they said he could not speak to me at this time. then hung up on me. I called several times to get to the bottom of this and the same round and round circles of no information as to when the fridge will be delivered. Then I was told I would get an email with a tracking number on the fridge. Never did! I then Finally called and asked to make a cancelation on the fridge and still they put me on hold over and over again. I am so discusted, and feel robbed. I paid money for the fridge and have no idea if I will recieve it. I want to cancel this order but any attempt I try online or on the phone I get kicked back to the same cycle of nowhere. They won't let you get anywhere or resoIve the problem. I will never use this company ever again. I want my money back for the fridge and want to cancel my plan. My opinion this is all a scam!Review fromJohn B

1 starWe signed up for the sears home improvement warranty in May when we first started experiencing trouble with our refrigerator not properly freezing. We were told if they couldn't fix the problem we would be eligible for a new fridge that is comparable to the one we have now. We had 4-5 different service repair men come to attempt to fix the problem. Fast forward to June, the last repair man discovered the part needed is no longer made, which forces the warranty to cover the cost for a new fridge. It is now the end of September (again this all started in May) and we still have no working fridge and were forced to buy a mini fridge so that we at least can have essential perishable foods in our house. We have been given the run around for 3 months about approving us for a new fridge. We are continuously told that the "approval went through and we should receive a coupon for the fridge within 3-5 business days". We call multiple times a week and we are still being told the same thing (3 weeks later), while we are still without a fridge (we have 2 children). This is ridiculous that they treat customers this way. We were offered this warranty, we didn't seek it out, and the warranty promised a new refrigerator. It is not worth it though if processing time takes 3-4 months long (which is not mentioned when we signed up). I am not the only one as I see this is a horrible pattern they continue. This is a travesty that Sears corporate doesn't care that its consumers have to go without essential appliances, based on the promise of a replacement without consideration to how it affects their daily living. As I mentioned before we have 2 children and still no one is trying to truly expedite this to make it convenient for the consumers. Don't fall for Sears home improvement warranty, it's not worth the false promises they make!
