    I am writing to provide a poor review for Melorie Serrano Masacupan, who teaches at Highland Park High School in Illinois. She also runs her business of Voice and Choice Learning for students on Spectrum. I hired her to help my son, when he started college. I was giving her 5 hours a week for $100 a lesson. She wanted all 20 lessons pre paid. If she missed a lesson she would make up but if we missed a lesson she would not make up. She was helping him in Literature but he was still behind. As the quarter was ending, we needed couple extra classes. She agreed to give him extra classes but at $125 a session. I wanted to think and discuss with my husband. I told her that I will let her know next day. Next morning she send me an e mail stating that she is ending the contract and she will not be teaching the last 2 classes which were critical for my son to pass. This was disaster for us as my son was already struggling in the subject. He went into depression. I called Melorie and texted her several times requesting to complete the sessions as it was the final week of school and he needed the help. She did not answer my calls. She is a horrible teacher with no empathy for students specially students on Spectrum that she claims to specialize in. She is a poor teacher who is greedy and does not care about her students. I believe, she has some emotional issues that shows up in how she conducts her business.
