              I registered as a student with Star truck driving school for part-time weekend classes on 11-22-21, with classes starting on 1-15-22 through 3-20-22. A down-payment of $500.00 was paid to Star truck driving school on 11-22-21 to "hold" my spot for class. The remaining balance of $2,200.00 would be paid on my first scheduled day of class (1-15-22). All requirements for class have been fulfilled a month prior to starting school, (ex...commercial learners permit, DOT medical card, Drug test). I arrived at Star truck driving school on 1-15-22 at 6:45am, 15 minutes before my class starts, with the anticipation of paying the remaining $2,200.00 of tuition. An instructor informed me that there will be no more part-time weekend classes, and to take it up with office personnel for any questions. Therefore, resulting in never being able to attend one single class I paid for, plus wasted time and resources. After leaving the school I called the office and left them a voicemail on 1-15-22 at 10:23am asking how we can resolve this issue. I never received a phone call or e-mail from Star wanting to resolve this issue. I typed up a letter of withdrawal from the school on 1-15-22 and asked for a full refund of my $500.00. The letter was expedited and certified with signature on delivery. Star truck driving school received the letter on 1-19-22 at 10:54am delivered by ***** I am filing this complaint because I paid money for a service and never received the service. I would like a full refund of $500.00 to resolve this issue.

              The way the school is ran is disorganized. I would not recommend this school to anyone paying out of pocket nor anyone who has government assistance. Most of the instructors talk about how they dont even want to be their and how they want to quit. One head instructor is a real mean piece of work. He has a huge attitude problem, he doesnt care if you learn or not and he yells and berates people all the time. God forbid if you fail a test(which you have 3 tries for) he will send you home and have you wait till the week of testing which could be weeks away. School is supposed to help you, not keep you away. The Government aided me in getting a 240 hr course which consisted of 24 drive hours which I havent gotten fully. The school already wants me to take a road test knowing that I didnt have my full amount of drive hours.The communication at that place is horrible. You need to talk to 3 people to get a possible solid answer. Since I was contacted on my drive time the week of the test, I chose not to test since I didnt have the hours the government paid for. Now I will have to wait possibly 2-3 weeks to drive and get a test date. The school doesnt care how they run things, they want money and they want you out ASAP. Im probably going to suffer retaliation as I am still a student but something has to be done. The owners are not around to complain to so I hope this helps. If you fail any test at this school (which I have yet to fail) you will be pushed to the side for a few weeks not knowing if you can come in and work on your mistakes. My advice is go to another school
