I transferred my plates from my Trax that recently got totaled and they did not want me to do that but I insisted. to this day I have called them 10 times asking about the title where it was that I have not received it and they keep telling me that the title is on the way. Called the State of Illinois and they state that they were not issuing the title as all the paperwork was done incorrectly. First Marshall has done nothing to resolve the issue and they keep telling me they will call me backInitial Complaint

I researched used vehicles using the internet and came across this company on ******** and ********** so I reached out to them inquiring about the sale. I was told by the woman who answered that if I came in on the coming Saturday I could purchase the vehicles for the listing price. I came to the establishment that Saturday showed the vehicle I inquired about and was told that the price rose up to $2,900 from $2,500 and I still agreed. At that point I was told I needed to make a $800 deposit for the vehicle so no one can offer more money and purchase the vehicle, I gave them the $800 non refundable deposit. At the point of purchase I was given a price of $4,239 and told I cant see the vehicle until I paid the full amount or waited until the coming Monday.Initial Complaint

I purchased a 2012 **** Explorer on March 1, 202 for $3500 with ridiculous fees added on bringing my total to $4789. The extra fees were not disclosed until AFTER I paid an $800 deposit that I was told was non-refundable. After purchasing the car it died right after I turned off the lot and I had to have it towed. The car was leaking gasoline and the sway bar made it undrivable. Despite the fact that I could have blown up they were fraudulent in making sure the car ran long enough to drive through the bay. This company is predatory!!! They knowingly sell dangerous cars that can kill someone and have deceptive practices as far as the financial aspect. I'm not even sure if the car I bid on is the same car I received because you don't even have a VIN number to verify it with.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: He is telling a bold faced LIE. I have been calling the business since March when I initially purchased the death trap. I was NEVER able to speak with the manager ****.. always being told he would call me back. He FINALLY called yesterday 5/5/25 after 2 months passed!! I filed a complaint with the ***********************, ************************ and BBB mid March after receiving no response from First Marshall Auto Auction. I will continue to file complaints with every government agency I can think of until something is done. They are a predatory business with deceptive practices that prey on consumers. I wish I had seen the *** 7 news story and the BBB consumer warnings against this company before I purchased the death trap. I just encourage others to keep filing complaints until they are shut down AGAIN and hopefully prosecuted. I will definitely testify about how the car they sold me was leaking gas and could have ended my life if the car next to me had flicked a lit cigarette.
Sincerely,
***** ****Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from this establishment on 2-8-25. I paid for the title transfer all all necessary fees. Illinois law requires a business to give the consumer the title to their vehicle in 60 days. I have called numerous occasions and they still have not sent the title to SOS. I missed out on a sale on the vehicle simply because I didnt have the title. The businesss is not trying to work with me on this matter whatsoever.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car from an auction in ******, **. I bought the car in full March 21st, 2025. Here it is about to be a month April 21st, 2025 and I still havent heard anything about my title. They already had me sign a paper saying they told me what was wrong on the car and they did not do that. I havent received a call saying my title was full or they had to order a new one. I called them today April 18th, 2025 and the woman said she was looking at my title and she didnt know why it wasnt sent out yet. Then proceeded to tell me I could come pick it up when they told me in March it would be in the mail. The man that is over the titles finally came to the phone and said my title was full and they had to order another one. He said it would take 1 or 2 weeks to get to me but he was not confident in his answer. I hate I didnt read the online reviews first because I feel like I have been scammed out of my $4,010. I am trying to trade my car in and cant do that without the title. The boss is never in the office when I call but if I drive down there he would be there. I dont know if he is telling his employees to tell customers he is not there but nobody in this establishment is professional. They can barley answer anything I ask. I need the title in order to get my tags and that is on hold also because of them. I just dont like how its no communication at all. If I wouldnt have called them they probably wouldnt have known that my title wasnt sent off yet. I am just trying to see what do I need to do or I can take them to court for this delay and for no communication at all.Initial Complaint

Complaint Against First Marshall Auto Auction Request for Full Refund To Whom It May Concern:I am writing to file a formal complaint against First Marshall Auto Auction regarding a serious issue with the vehicle I was promised and subsequently received. On February 26, 2025, I purchased a 2014 ********** Outlander with ******* miles from First Marshall Auto Auction. However, instead of receiving the vehicle I was promised, they sold the car to a dealer and provided me with a different car, which had a significantly higher mileage. The car I was given had a different VIN number and ******* miles on the odometer, which is far from what I was promised. This is a clear case of misrepresentation and breach of agreement. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the matter, including recorded conversations and exchanges with the auction staff, I was left with a vehicle that does not match what I paid for.I have all relevant documentation, including receipts, the Carfax report, and recordings of the conversations where the discrepancies were discussed. My last communication with the auction was on February 28, 2025, where no satisfactory resolution was offered. This situation is not only frustrating but also unacceptable.I am requesting a full refund for the vehicle, as the auction failed to deliver the agreed-upon car. I demand that this matter be investigated and resolved promptly.Thank you for your attention to this issue.Sincerely,Rukayat IginlaInitial Complaint

I went to the auction to look for a car for my son and daughter. We bid on 2 cars and paid the deposit. After they made me wait till 5pm to finish the purchase I was taken in a room to complete payment. They kept talking on extra fees. I am not from that area and it seemed really sketchy and to be honest, I was scared. So I paid there fees. As we are filling out paperwork I noticed they had put my address as an address in *******. I do not live in ******* and I pointed that out to them. They said that is the address they use for everyone. At this point I just wanted to get out of there so I left. My son and I drove to a nearby gas station to fuel up and drive home. It was unable to get the car to start. I drove back to the auction and the *** said, no speak English and shut the door in my face. My son decided to call the police to see if there was anything they can do. The officer was able to assist in getting the car started and said we got scammed. They hear it from that place all the time. We drove home and now I am worried as I have no title for these vehicles and they have an out of state address listed as mine. I am unsure what to do at this pointInitial Complaint

I went First Marshall auto auction on 12/28/24 to buy *************************************************** their website for sale, they kept me to wait until the end of auction and after the action was over they told me it was already sold out. They put pressure to buy 2020 ********** Mirage G4 ES and promised it was good car for $3900, because already I spent whole day and was tired, so bought it for $3900 + auction fee $290 + sales tax $297 + document fee $255 + postage fee $35 + permit fee $75, so total paid $4852. I was never given a chance to check the vehicle before purchase. When I drove out, it was totally unsafe condition. I had to take it to the mechanic and spent more than $1100 for immediate repair (I have receipt). Later what I found was they had listed out the same vehicle for $3500 in their website for sale, then why did they sell it to me for $3900?. I have attached their advertisement taken from their website and which was listed out for $3500. Let us be honest, I am requesting to refund the difference which is $400, I am not asking the refund of auction fee or repair cost or anything else. Thanks.Initial Complaint

October 30th 2024 I attended an auction. I was told by an employee I can put down a $700 deposit and start a payment plan for how much time I needed to pay the rest. I put the deposit for a 2009 ****** Murano which total pricing is $1900. After I put down the deposit I was told to come back the next day to talk with someone to start the payment plan. When I went back the following day. The employee assisted me outside and asked me did anyone mention the extra fees. Then he told me to give them a call to set a meeting with the manager to set up the payment plan. Ive been calling since October 30th to November 6. Each time I call Ive been told weve left him a message he will give you a call back. I still havent received a call from a manager.Initial Complaint
