    Rented an apartment for 3 years. I have pictures and videos of the way I left me apartment and I am being charged for things that are not accurate. I was told I could not be included in the final walk thru and then over charged and penalized for faulty charges. I was not informed of my balcony removal prior to signing my lease. Within a month, the balancing was torn out. After my complaint regarding getting no notice of the removal of the balcony I paid for, I was dismissed. Often times, amenities listed in the lease agreements, were not available and broken. I had a visitor who was parked in the parking lot for a few hours- 1 day, apartment contacted tow company and towed the truck for having expired tags. My dad contacted the police department because the tags were not expired and proven. The truck was damaged while towed and a days lose of wages from my dad trying to locate and sort out this major hassle. I have all my documents, all images of proof of my apartment. I never made a late payment. I have many outgoing emails to this apartment complex, documenting my questions and concerns. I was forced into staying in my lease for additional time because my 45 day notice was not 60 days. I paid in full for only 2 weeks remaining of a month. My rent for 2 remaining weeks was never given back and then they hit me with another $104 charge sent to collections. The business being run is not ethical and I believe this company needs to be investigated in the way they are misinforming and over charging their tenants.

    I've been living in my apartment at Ellyn Crossing Apartments for two years. In the time being here, my partner and I have encountered SEVEN roaches in our apartment. One in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, three in the kitchen, and two in the living room. Pest control has been brought in ONCE. And a ***** was found the same day they were here. When asked if pest control could come a day earlier (they normally come on Thursdays), we were told it was "unfair" to the other tennants that had put work orders in. Apparently it's fair for us to be living with roaches. The first 3 were found throughout the two years. The last 4 have been within the last month and a half.

    Respond to Complaint

    We currently have our Pest Control contractor going to this unit to do treatments. We did this on 4/6/23 and will continue to treat every Thursday until the issue is resolved. The treatments do need time to work and we just did the treatment on the 6th. Resident states they are requesting a refund but we are working on the issue and pest control fees are not refunded to any resident as that is a monthly fee associated with their unit. If they are asking to be refunded for products they purchased, we will not refund as they made the decision to do that and we are having the unit treated weekly. This required patience and time for the treatments to work and they are seeing dead ones, it is because of the treatments. Thank you

    They never fixed the damages I noted in the apartment before I moved in. They also don't give a notice before wanting to come into my apartment (I have large dogs that need to be put away when we are not home but need notice to do so). The staff in the leasing office is rude and does not care.
