I reside in *******, MI within a subdivision named *******************. On August 12, 2025, a residence in the back of the subdivision on the street of *****************, hired PolyPro Concrete Coatings out of *****, MI to come and install poly flooring in their garage.Between the hours of 8am - 10am, the PolyPro truck and trailer was speeding through the neighborhood and turned onto *********** ** towards the exit of the subdivision. As they turned, a red cooler and a large bucket fell out of the truck. A large chemical spill poured onto the road, which is described as a sticky hard substance. An eye witness observed the entire incident take place, which she also stated she watched the workers get out of the truck, throw their items back into the truck and took off out of the neighborhood.Alter in the day, I arrived home to find that the entire road in front of my driveway is covered with a disgusting sticky residue. I had no way to avoid it and had to drive through it in order to put my vehicle in my garage. As I drove through it, the substance stuck to my tires and it was tracked up my driveway and into my garage. I contacted the PolyPro business, which I got the number from the yard sign that was placed in the residences yard after the job was completed. ***** ****** answered the phone, and completely denied ever causing the spill. I explained to him, all we wanted was for all of it to be cleaned up and made to look like it was the way before the spill. He denied it and refused to assist us with the problem. My neighbor also called *****, and again he denied it and was very rude and chuckled when asked for his manager or someone higher up to speak with.I have tried several different businesses to come out and take a look, and each one tells me they cannot help. I now have this disgusting stain all over in front of my house, driveway, garage floor and it is even stuck in my tire tread. I also have plenty of photos of the damages!

      Business Response

      Date: 09/05/2025

Good morning, We want to sincerely apologize for the incident you experienced in ******************* on August 12th. We take these concerns very seriously, and it is never our intention to cause disruption, damage, or frustration in the communities we serve.
After reviewing your complaint, we understand how upsetting it must be to have chemical material spilled near your home and tracked onto your driveway, garage, and vehicle. While our team did not initially recognize or report the spill, we now realize this was a mistake and a missed opportunity to make the situation right immediately.
Please know that this is not reflective of the standards we hold ourselves to at PolyPro Concrete Coatings. We have already begun reviewing the matter internally and will ensure the crew involved is held accountable. We have sent one company out to attempt to clean up the mess with no success. We will take care of this mess and restore the neighborhood to its original state.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me, but not yet completed.  The business is currently attempting to fix the issue, however if the issue is not corrected to my satisfaction, I would then like to have the company make further corrections.  The further corrections would either to be, redo my concrete driveway and garage, whether that be rip out the existing driveway and garage or resurface my driveway and seal my garage floor as that is what they offer through their business.  I expect my property to look as if the spill never occurred.

They attempted to clean it once without success, the next date for another attempt is on the 17th of September of 2025. I hope to see improvement.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *****
