BriteCo is a nightmare if you have a claim. My wife lost one of her earrings. They hire 3rd party adjusters and are hands off after that, the adjusters may go out of the 14 days allotted to gather information regarding the claim, and the 30 days allotted to have a claim decision. The 3rd party they hired went well over the 30 days (illegal and against all basic insurance guidelines) and when the 3rd party they hired does this, ******** is nowhere to be found. Now the attorney general and state ***** of insurance have launched an investigation. Save yourself the headache. Use Jewelers Mutual And pay attention to all positive reviews, they control Birdseye etc.

I am rejecting this response because: My policy is still active as of right now for these earrings, just checked, to cover the earring.

Please send documentation showing the *************** policy in place that when applying for jewelry insurance across the board the application upfront is rejected if there is a jewelry policy claim and a home personal contents claim accompanied with a police report for theft and within what duration of time Glencar will not issue the policy at time of application. Also examples of other denials upfront in these exact circumstances.

I confirmed with another insurance company Civil Auth is not even remotely applicable in this scenario, but even a basic search confirms this as common sense.

    "Understanding a *************** Clause
Civil authorities (local, state, or federal governments) may evacuate or prohibit access to certain areas after a natural disaster occurs. For example, they may deem that an area poses a legitimate public safety threat in the aftermath of a hurricane, wildfires, flooding, rioting, an act of terrorism or another life-threatening event.

Should civil authorities decide to take such action, the financial implications for companies operating in the area to be evacuated and closed off can be huge. In effect, business owners will be forced to shut down their operations, resulting in a loss of potential income for an extended period of time.

Property insurance policies often include provisions that provide loss of income coverage while a business is closed as a result of property damage. They may not, however, contain provisions that cover the loss of income because the business owner is unable to reopen after an evacuation. Whether or not this type of loss is covered depends on the policys civil authority clause.

    How a *************** Clause Works
Civil authority clauses are standard in property insurance policies for both businesses and homeowners, outlining the situations in which business interruption insuranceinsurance coverage that replaces business income lost in a disasteris extended. The clause indicates whether the insurer will pay for business income losses in the case that a civil authority prevents the policyholder from accessing the premises covered by the policy. "

    Sincerely,
