I received my title back in 2017 for this vehicle that i have paid off. I attempt to sell my vehicle and i am told there is a lien against it. How is this possible to have a lien on this vehicle if it was paid off in 2017. I didnt use this vehicle as collateral for anything. There must be a clarical error on their end. On 02.05.**** I received a text message from Turner Acceptance that reads: Dear Valued Customer, please be advised that effective February 5th, ****, the servicing of your account will be transferred from Turner Acceptance Corp to *****************************. Hello ,
Please be advised that Turner transitioned their portfolio to a new servicer, Duo to a business decision Turner will no longer be able to service the account and therefore it required being transferred to anew servicer. This does not affect the customers account or balance. In regard to the request to replace vehicle . Customer has been advised that the vehicle she selected to purchase form the dealer and Turner purchased the contract from the dealer. Turner was not involved in selection of vehicle .

I am rejecting this response because:I am not saying that I do not owe the balance. I was not notified of my contract being transferred until the day of(02/05/2024); Turner Acceptance would not answer any calls and immediately forwarded all calls to the debit collections services. Thee was not any paperwork notifications, only a text message on the day of transfer(02/05/2024. What are the requirements for Turner Acceptance when purchasing contacts, since my suv was on recall, how do they verify that the vehicle is not stolen, on recall, actually exist?

Hello, As you have stated in your response . you did receive the notification of the new servicer for your account. As it stated in the email / text you will need tp contact Westlake for any further questions or assistance. This was a business decision that was applied to the portfolio and not just your individual acct. It seems that west lake has also attempted to follow up and introduce themselves to you with no success. Please be advised that Turner Acceptance is no longer able to generate new loans / business. Nor do we have the resources to continue servicing your account, therefore t was assigned to Westlake. Failure to continue paying on your account can affect your credit. Please be advised that whne acct is reassigned to another servicer does not mean that your acct / contract are no longer valid. In regard to your vehicle purchase. I will reinstate that you purchased the vehicle directly from the dealer and Turner financed the contract. Turner purchased the contract when it was already agreed upon and signed by the consumer. Turner did not select the vehicle the customer did and we rely that the customer does their due diligence prior to purchasing in researching vehicle history including recalls. recall does not prohibit a dealer from selling the vehicle. Turner does not have vehicle inventory or the ability to trade the vehicle. Turner Acceptance transferred my account to a debt collection agency with no prior notification and only provided little to no information about the transfer or the debt collection agency where my account was being transferred. There was no paperwork whatsoever provided beforehand or after from Turner Acceptance and I tried many times to contact them.
2. Turner Acceptance sent another text message a few days after the initial transfer without notice(2/5/2024) stating my balance was due in FULL
3. How as a business are you accepting contracts without verifying the vehicle? What are the requirements to verifying the vehicle is legit?

I am currently looking for a lawyer to *** this company along with the case that the Owner *********************** know as **** from ************** *** from (4/15) if you search on ****** they have a open case due to fraud. I have MANY receipts from fixing my 2nd car that I had to purchase in less that a year because my first car I purchased with them broke down. I spent almost $5,000 trying to repair so I called them so I can trade so they made me lie when they contacted Turner Acceptance. The second car I purchased had the check engine light turn on within the 3rd week of me getting the car I have had to repair many is***s with the car from the turbo, the changes in the gears are messed up I tried to go to Carmax to trade the car and I come to find out the dealer ************************** changed the miles on my car and the motor doesn't match the car I purchased so it lost value when I tried to go to the dealership I come to find out the dealer is no longer open. When I looked this company up on ****** I come to find out they are being ***d for the same is*** fraud! My car got picked up today for just 1 month of me being late on my payment but I don't even want the car back I just want a refund for BOTH cars that I purchased from this dealer and this finance company that ALLOWED THIS DEALER TO SELL FRAUD CARS THAT DON'T WORK! They even changed the carfax on the cars! Also *********************** was trying to pay off my car if I hung out with him I have text messages in my phone where he is harassing me to go on a date with him and he would pay off my trade in amount.Business Response

In regard to you suing ************* please understand that Turner Acceptance and ************* are separate entities and Turner Acceptance purchased the contract from them. Anything that was agreed upon and took place at the dealership was between the dealership and you the consumer as we did not have any reps ******* at the time of sale. Furthermore we base our knowledge on the paperwork submitted by the dealer and signed by you the customer. You stated that they made you lie to Turner Acceptance , It would have been important for you to make us aware of that at the time that it occurred. However we will definitely consider this if there is any future business with them which at this point I don't see happening. As confirmed by your research it seems that ************* is having legal issues and have closed their doors. You mentioned that "Turner Acceptance allowed Dealer to sell fraud cars that don't work ". Please note that Turner acceptance does not have control of luxury motors as a business. Turner purchases the contract in the efforts to have you financed for a vehicle that you have chosen to purchase from the **************** is unfortunate that you have encountered this situation and we definitely will consider the factors and their business practices moving forward. Please note that we cannot offer you the resolution you are requesting a refund from the finance company for the vehicles you purchased. Turner may chose to pursue the dealership as we purchased the contracts form them but we cannot fully refund you . With the vehicle that has been repossessed , please be advised we follow the state regulations and policies for taking possession of a vehicle when an account is past due. That car will be sold at an auction if you choose not to redeem the vehicle may be sold at an auction and any proceeds will be applied to your account. However that dies not guarantee that your full balance will be covered in the case that it is any amount over your balance will be refunded to you/ However if there is any remaining balance left you will continue to be responsible for it. Regarding the behavior issues from ******************* please address directly with him . He is not a Turner Employee nor does he re******* Turner Acceptance and or its core values. Its evident that certain liberties were taken by ****** asking you to lie and hang out with him that are not in any way equivalent to Turners Standards. The company unknowingly took away my grace ****** and **** and said I never had one . I been with this company for almost 2 years and counting and there was always a grace ****** before they give you ablaze fee and cut your car off . Now they are cutting off my car when I am only one day late and telling me that its in writing but wont send over no original documents thats says any of this . Hello ************, After reviewing your account regarding the complaints you submitted. I do see that we are sending notification as required by the regulations in the pertaining state advising you of acct status and that your car may be disabled if no payment is received. This letter notifies you of act status and makes you aware that the care may be disabled due to acct status. There is a process behind this and the car does not get turned off at 1 day past due but the notification may be sent as long as the account is delinquent. IN addition we offer solutions in example if you make a partial payment and or contact us back to make an arrangement . contingent on those arrangements being kept then the car may not be disabled. The notification is originally sent in case the arrangement is not kept or no payment is received. IE: your account is 17 days past due but the car has not been disabled because you made partial payments . It is important that you continue to contact your account manager or service rep and make another arrangement. I alaso see that your gps was disabled on 05/16 when your account was 11 days past due In regard to the insurance ,. you purchased an umbrella product that covered insurance and prepaid maintenance . If your account goes to default or if the insurance provider is unable to renew your insurance then it can be canceled. you should have received a letter explaining as to why your insurance was not renewed. You are required to have liability coverage on your own if your product was canceled.Customer Answer

I purchased a car and was financed through Turner Accepted. Subsequently the car was repossessed. I spoke with a representative from Turner Accepted to stop payment on the vehicle. Thank You for the inquiry regarding a refund for ************************ After reviewing her account file, Please note that the vehicle was not repossessed by Turner Acceptance . According to Car Fax the vehicle may have been involved in an accident and subsequently left at an impound if the customer does not have possession of vehicle. Customer had requested for ********************** to pick up the vehicle which we declined due to the fact that the vehicle status. Regarding the stop payment request . Customer did contact the collections **** requesting that the wage assignment she agreed to as part of her original contract . Because the last payment she made was on 05/22 and collection activity / wage assignment started on 1/17/23 . customer was advised that wage assignment would continue until the act is current and then they can workout a payment arrangement with her. Customer is responsible for any remaining balance after default on acct . If the car had been repossessed by Turner we would have notified the customer as required by the state repo regulations. In addition had the vehicle been repossessed voluntary and or involuntary , within the required time allotted by the state the vehicle would have been sold at an auction and any customer would still remain responsible for any remaining balance there after. Your vehicle was financed by Turner Acceptance and after the vehicle was in default status a repossession took place. After proper notification the vehicle was a repo sold at an auction. The proceeds from that sale were applied to your account in accordance to repo policy and regulations. You remained responsible for the remaining balance where no further payments were received . They can provide you with all supporting documentation. Also in regard to the ** notices all notices received form the ** court are forwarded to the collection agency. It is worth mentioning that the last notice received as of December 2019 was notifying that the ** case was dismissed due to failure in payments from you.
