-There were several promises made in our wedding contract and the advertising package from Carriage Greens that were not fulfilled: -We were charged $1200 for access to both ballrooms; however the East West room was completely unprepared for use as our back-up ceremony space. The coordinator promised it would be ready. -My husband was chased by the event coordinator the night of our wedding reception for extra money for vendor meals after the owner told us the bill was fully settled. -They were missing a bartender for the entire cocktail hour, greatly reducing the value of the event. This staffing was confirmed several times over in advance, and in writing. -The owner said we would be taken for golf cart pictures by the golf staff. This never happened, when we went to the pro shop there was no one there. -The package included Maitre D'Service for the event, but the only time she showed up was to harass us for additional payments. Otherwise, she was absent for the entire event.

Sept 28, 2021: I came in to play this morning without a reservation. I had checked prior on line and times were fairly wide open, however, the online system does not allow for single golfer reservation. I've called before to play and instead of giving me a reservation, the golf shop person told me to come on in, they would have no problem getting me out. When I arrived, the guy behind the counter asked for my phone number which I was okay to give, then asked for my email address. If you are anything like me, I get tons of unsolicited emails everyday. I told him I'd rather not give my email address thinking that this has nothing to do with paying to play golf. All other courses I've played in the area do not ask for email at check-in (maybe there are others that do??). The guy immediately went in a strange direction saying that he would not give me discounts then (I presume on email adds). and added comments like "stupid" and "unbelievable". I paused a moment and asked (responding to the attitude) "because I wont give you my email?" Again he said I/it was stupid and other words I cant recall (none of them good).I thought that I didn't have to take this and turned to leave with intent to play elsewhere. He went off saying "...leave, don't ever come here..." and " please don't paly golf anywhere". Not sure if he was having a bad day, but that's no way to treat a paying customer. I was at no time short or rude to him. He was busy doing something else when I arrived, which could mean he was annoyed to help me. He was arrogant in his tone like helping me was a waste of his time (but that isn't unique).IN the area there are many places to play golf. Carriage Greens is one of the local courses that has many open tee times during the week. Perhaps their attitude and customer service has something to do with it. If they cared about public perception, they wouldn't employ hot heads like the one I encountered. I imagine they lose some business because of this.I didn't submit a complaint because no money exchanged hands, just verbal attack.
