I brought my car to Aamco in February of 2024 for transmission issues. They hooked it up to the scanner, but no error codes were found. I brought it back to the same location in January 2025. No codes again but the shop manager gave me a 2 second glance at a trans fluid sample as I was on the phone then said my trans needs a rebuild. Reluctantly, I dropped the car off 2/3/25, the rebuild was done & I picked up the car 2/7/25. The transmission was worse at this point then prior to the rebuild. It hesitates to shift when accelerating/decelerating and vibrates/flares constantly when driving.2/11/25, I called the shop manager to advise him of the issues as well as having broken mounting plates that I discovered which were caused by Aamco. On 2/12/25 the builder test drove it, hooked it up to the ****************** no codes. He sat in the car with me, agreed the transmission was vibrating but said it could be anything. 2/25/25, I brought the car back, the mounting plates were installed & again the scanner showed no codes. On 3/28/25, I took my car to a real transmission specialist (Not Aamco) & they verified the issues. I was told that the valve *************** should have been replaced. Aamco claims they rebuilt the valve body but if so, why the non-stop issues? Why was it rebuilt & not replaced? Why was the solenoid not replaced? 6/28/25, I noticed a trans fluid leak. I called Aamco's corporate office & no one answered. I left messages & someone called me 2 weeks later to say they would try to get someone from the shop to call me. No one called. On 7/22/25, I brought my car back for the 5th time, took the builder for a test drive, he validated every issue I pointed out to him then had the ******** to tell the operations manager my tires were the issue. How can me rebuild be done when the scanner doesn't show a code, but my issues are nonexistent because the scanner doesn't show a code? Aamco needs to issue me a refund.

I was quoted a price of 5600 for work on my transmission. After making multiple payments towards the 5600 I later found out the price had increased to 6100. They still have my car and they've had it since early Feb. Aamco has never mentioned storage fees for my vehicle but now that I'm on edge about this price increase they have threatened to charge me storage fees if my vehicle isn't paid off by the end of may. I'm not settling for this discrimination act against women. I will take my paperwork and the agreed balance I owe and use it to go to court. It ***** that as a woman we always have to go through this dealing with mechanics. You cannot quote someone a price and then go up on that price, just because you feel like it. I do not recommend this place of business to anyone because they are untrustworthy. **** is the man who quoted me the original price of 5600 and was working the front desk when I paid my deposit and is also the same guy who is threatening to charge me storage fees now and is also the guy who doesn't remember the original price he quoted me. Now there's a new guy working the front desk who started a month ago who gave me a price of ******************************* I hope you guys do the right thing in this situation because I'm not letting you get over on me. Thanks!

************:We were surprised and disappointed to see your comment. Reviewing our files, I can assure you that the price you were originally quoted was $5867.50 plus tax which totaled $6128.30 ($260.80 tax). I have attached to this response a receipt from your first payment after the initial deposit of $1600. That payment on 2/23 was for $360. At the bottom of the receipt, you will see the job value at $6128.30. I spoke with both **** and *** who are the shop managers and they emphatically stated that they did not tell you that storage charges would apply at the end of May. We understand and respect that you have been making regular payments to resolve this invoice and under those circumstances, wed never use storage charges as a means to hurry the payments. To be clear, we understand that transmission repair is almost always sudden and expensive. We always do whatever we can to work with our customers to resolve a vehicle issue and in this case, extending payment over many months was our way of trying to help you. We are sorry for any misunderstanding with regard to the invoice total however, please rest assured that we will stand by our work with the best warranty in the industry and we thank you for being an AAMCO customer.

Was in from out of state to take care of my dad. I intended to service my trans myself as a retired mechanic but did not have time. **** said no problem using my fluid i bought from ***** which is essential to good maintenance in using the correct fluid. I had no other transportation and waited to be done, I thank **** (manager) for his support and timeliness...five star for him and his team. Sincerely, Ed
