1 starKeep in mind this all happened within one month. With ******** snafu I switched to US cellular as I had them before going to *******. I was told it would be $50 a month but it suddenly went from around $50 a month to $100! I did get a new phone so $15 or so was from that but the rest? Then from day one I was having issues with a signal. Dropped calls or no calls. spoty messaging and harlyu ever connecting for data. This was unacceptable as I was fishing on the Bay of ********* and my phone could not even get emergency signal. But My wife with **** *** had no problem. I went to the store, the person at the store was nice but could not resolve my signal issue. All I got was " You should be getting a signal". But I was not. With no help from US Cellular I started shopping for a differant provider concidering ******* still wasn't working. Long and short of it. Mind you I already was paid for the month and it had been around 30 days but in ortder to get my Number to switch I had to pay them another $100 or i could not switch. I paid the new phone off, gave them $100 bucks and went to Consumer cellular. My new $800 phone was glitchy and then quit altogether. Saying I was connected to another network. So back to US Cellular i went. Well they have my new phone, which is paid for, locked for 120 days. And they will not unlock it untill the 120 days is up even though I'm not signed on with them!!! This seems to be like black mail to keep me with them for the next three months. But I did not and will not. So I'm left using my old phone with the cracked screen until September 20th. While my new phone sits on my desk. Consumer cellular has been amazing. I wish I had gone there right away. I could have saved alot of money and Grief!!Review fromSara D

1 starPrepaid customers be wary. When you port your number to another carrier, USCellular will steal any remaining credit balance on your account, even if they have previously promised a refund. I called to get the information needed to port my number to another carrier, inquired about the credit, and was told that a credit would be issued in approximately 30 days.After waiting for over 6 weeks, during which time I chatted with customer service and called again to follow up, today I spent nearly an hour on the phone with customer service to be told that the previous agents made a mistake and that they would not refund a credit balance of approximately $216.00. If I had been informed accurately at the beginning, I would have waited a month or two to use the credit balance. Instead, they are holding a customer responsible for their agents' errors.Review fromJanette M

1 starThis cell company lies to get customers. Free phone lol. Not even close !!!! For 3 lines I was charged $ 500 to $700 a month. No extras nothing just unlimited talk text and data. My bill was never the same yet nothing changed except for the price from month to month. $ 7.00 to talk to them to extend your due date. They wont do a payment plan just an extension. My son neexs his service to monitor his blood sugar. They didnt care since september of last year i would bet i paid almost ******* or more for service and "free phone" lol. Now cant even use the Free Phone anywhere else because the Free Phones not paid off. Scam is all they do. They are a rip off. So misleading. Terrible place !!!Review fromBarbara W

1 starI added 75 dollars in funds to my account and ********************** was supposed to give me 25 dollars. They didn't. I have called 3 times and twice they just hung up on me after wasting my time. I didn't have to add funds to my account, but did for the 25 dollars that I didn't get. I have done this process before with no problem, now I didn't get my 25 dollars and they kept my 75 in my fund. I would have never given 75 dollars unless I was getting 25, I didn't need to I had money in my fundReview fromAmy P

1 starUsed to love this company. I used to try and talk people into getting plans with this company. But this year the company seems to be going to **** in a handbasket and i'm not sure why. I upgraded my package a few months ago. Ever since then the nightmares have begun. Every 3 weeks my phone service goes out claiming.I owe them more money even though they just received payment anywhere from a day to several days prior.Then I get to spend several hours on the phone trying to get it fixed. They look into my record, they see my Bill's paid. But yet my service is suspended for unknown reasons. Somehow they magically make the signal reconnect. Now how they do not know that it's been paid prior to somebody looking at it.I don't understand they have no problem taking it out of my account every month on auto pay. So if you get the upgrade package, or just any plan expect that every few weeks you're gonna be without service for several hours (No calls in no calls out, except to pay a bill that you already paid)and you're gonna waste a few hours calling them to get rehook back up for nothing over and ******* seems to be every three weeks almost on schedule. Save yourself don't go through the headache.Find somebody that's stable in their company.Cause obviously this once having issues.Review fromLaurie M

1 starWe have been a U S Cellular customer since the bag phone days. My problem is with the unreliable internet service. It has NEVER worked since new in 2023. They finally sent me to the manufacturer to do an exchange in June 2025. But it's out of warranty after 1 year. I must pay $165 to cancel. My ******* disconnects every 5 to 15 minutes since 2023. Horrible reliability. Horrible service. I usually got smart mouthed when calling for tech support. I will make a video of me smashing my $165 NON WORKING modem. And switch carriers. 1 starI've never had this much trouble trying to sign up for a wifi service, I've been trying to get wifi from this company since 6/19/25 and it's been a struggle throughout this entire process. When applying for the wifi, I wasn't told that I had to verify my personal information in my local office when I had given my info online. I had to call to see what was going on with the process of getting Internet and they then told me that I had to go verify my information in the store. I go and do that at my local store, only to find out that the guy who verified my information didn't complete it fully because he wasn't trained on it by corporate. He shared my frustrations and finalized it completely the next time I came in, and I called in the customer service line to finalize that I had physically verified my information. By then it had been nearly a week and the woman I spoke to would give me priority shipping and wave my fee. On 6/23 I received my router, only for it to be the wrong one and I was told by the customer *** over the phone that I could go to a corporate office and trade it in there for the correct router. I called that store and told them what was wrong and I was told by the guy who answered that he would have to check with his manager if they go trade in the routers and that I should call the customer service line again to make sure I was able to use this router in my area. I was told that I was good to trade the router and the customer service *** approved the router I needed, so I went to the corporate store in ****** Mo only to be treated like I was annoyance for even being there. The guy I spoke to was rude, didn't seem like he was interested in helping me, told me I had to pay for a restocking fee and taxes for the new router. Obviously we left, called customer service, waved the restocking, activation fee, sent me a new router and shipping label and told me I would get a refund for the old router when they received it. 1 starI don't want to give one star - they charged me for two years for international calling AFTER I called them the day we came home from the trip. I told them they owed me over $800 in charges and I refused to pay them any more money until they fixed their problem. (We switched to ******* immediately) They sent me to collections for a $500 outstanding bill. They are crooks and their service in our area *****.Review fromJaycie C

1 starI have a ******* Flip that was malfunctioning so I went to the local office. I was informed that I would need to file a claim with my insurance because my warranty had expired one month prior. this cost ****** to file an insurance claim with *******. I was told by the sales representative that if the malfunction happened again I had a 12 month warranty on this new device and it would be replaced. 10 months later, the same malfunction occured and I called to have the phone replaced under warranty. I was told by asurian that it would cost 250usd to file a warranty claim and that this fee was the same fee as a deductible if I filed a replacement claim. I told the Asurian Representative to cancel the replacement request as I was not going to pay 250 to file a warranty claim. I then called US Cellular to inquire about the 12 month warranty i was told about. US Cellular said that the first phone I bought from them had a warranty but the replacement phone from ******* had the Asurian Warranty that cost ******, which is the same as the deductible if I needed a replacement. We I asked the Representative with US Cellular if they were aware of this, they said yes; although the sales representative in the US Cellular Store locally provided different information. This business needs to be held accountable to its customers when it gives false information in order to make a sale.Review fromTracy B

1 starWhen i call Uscelluar they tell me one thing and do another My monthly bills go from 185 to 215 to all different amounts every month i have called several times and thought problem fixed Other friends say samething that UScellular charges whatever they feel like every monthly i have been with you 30 years and u have been good to me in past but when im on a fixed income and we are barely surviving and you pull whstever you feel like it out then there is a problem This has been happening month after month i have called them several times and when i think they solved the problem its not. Last month supervisor told me she was working with help desk to fix this as they acknowledged there billing is messed up. Im going to have my friends change over also to another company When i call and want to speak to someone higher than a superviisor they say there the highest person up you cant tell me there are no managers or directors to take call
