Hello my name is *****************************. About a year ago on March 28, 2022 I purchased my truck a 2010 **** Explorer Xlt. At the time of purchase the truck was around 78k miles on the odometer. when I originally purchased the vehicle I was told that everything was good with the truck. And No issues were ever recorded. Now after sometime I started to notice little problems occurring with the truck, For instance for a 6 cyl truck it was burning through gas very fast. I would constantly do oil changes and it wasn't burning fast. So I took the truck to a mechanic to see if there might be any other issues that I wasn't aware too. *** mechanic told me I should go get the truck appraised and see if I can trade the vehicle for something more gas friendly. I then took the truck to Carmax in Hillside off the 290. One of there mechanic took it in and did a history check on the truck. I was then told that the odometer was tampered with from 78k miles, it jumped to 220k miles. ******** had rolled the miles back. ***y then proceeded to print out a paper which showed me the history of the truck and where **** auto purchased the truck. It was at an auction, now the last time the auction updated the odometer it stated around 190k miles. *** next purchase after the Auction was **** auto. And the representative of ***'s auto told me theyre highly likely to have rolled back the miles. I then went to search for my bill of sale and realized they had left the miles of the odometer Blank when I went to speak to the dealership they had rejected any wrong doing and would not help me. ***y then said there was nothing I can do about it. Now I am paying around 9 grand for a truck that wasnt even worth $500. *** truck has broken down repeatedly and they have refused to help in any way. I was recently told by a friend you guys help in situations like this. Thank you for your time, please let me know if there is anything you can do to help me. Now the truck is overheating, and it wont start.
