  On September 20, 2023, I received a notice from REMOVEDregarding a red light violation that allegedly occurred on that day. The notice informed me that I had failed to stop at a red light and would be required to pay a fine of $158. It also stated that if I did not pay the fine, my license would be suspended until the scheduled hearing date, which I had to request. Additionally, to make the payment of the $158 fine, I was required to pay a service fee of $7.90. Determined to clarify the situation, I decided to conduct my own investigation. After some searching, I was able to find video footage of the alleged red light violation. To my surprise, the footage clearly showed that I had actually stopped at the red light, adhering to all traffic laws. It became evident that I had been wrongly accused of the violation. Armed with this new evidence, I promptly submitted a request form along with the video footage to contest the red light violation. After a thorough review of the evidence, my request was granted, and I was informed that the $158 fine would be refunded. However, to my disappointment, I was informed that the $7.90 service fee would not be refunded. It was determined that the red light violation had been erroneously issued by one of the officers responsible for monitoring traffic violations. Despite the error being acknowledged and the fine refunded, the lack of a refund for the service fee was disheartening. In an effort to address this issue and seek clarification, I have made multiple attempts to contact the REMOVEDRed Light Safety Program. Unfortunately, my calls and emails have gone unanswered, leaving me without a resolution. I am left feeling frustrated and unsure of how to proceed in resolving this matter. WHY ARE WE RECEIVING TICKETS IF WE DON'T RUN RED LIGHTS?
