I applied for the lease to purchase program with Home Partners of America. They approved me and my wife for the program telling us as long as we follow the guidelines and stay within a purchase price of $650k and a not to exceed the $3040 a month lease/rental price (which are predetermined on the listings on their site). After submitting the first property they disqualified it due to being 10sqft to big with the county records. So we went back found 4 more house to submit. 3 of which passed their guidelines with flying colors only for the deals to not go anywhere due to Home Partners of America low balling all 3 by over $150k. The 4th house was not able to be submitted by my realtor due to being submitted by another agent. My realtor and I have called and emailed to get better information about what to be looking for or what it is they are basing the approval on to as give us a better understanding on how to make this work. I feel like my time has been wasted by false promises and lacking of information being giving to potential clients to be successful. I would like for them to be more transparent with this program as it has displaced me and my family as we left our home with hopes of buying one with this program that we are approved for, but have been unable to do to these issues. I know Im not the only family that is dealing with this, but would like to be a part of a solution for those in my situation as well as making sure no one else is effected by this problem.
