    I attempted to make a reservation on May 12, 2025 at ******* by Wyndham in ************, ** for the night of May *******. Instead of reaching the hotel directly, I was connected to ****** at Hotel Reservations ( phone number ************). He made the reservation and when I asked if I needed to cancel, what is the policy.. I was told that if I called by May 21, I could cancel and be refunded the money. The Itinerary number for this transaction is H11283292. I did call on May 15 to cancel the reservation and after he said it was cancelled THEN he said the cancellation is subject to a fee of 1 night's room before taxes. I firmly said that was not what I was told!! Then he said that was their policy and future said I would receive a Voucher in one day from ****************************************** to be used on a future stay. I have not received a Voucher as of May 24. I told both sites I would report to BBB. I am 68 and have never filed a complaint but i consider this fraud. The charge was $223.96...I want a refund not a voucher.. I do not trust them at all!! I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!******

    On 5/1/2025 I looked up a hotel in the area to stay at in the area due to a bad storm that occurred on 4/29/2025 that resulted in no power for days. I saw on ****** that the *********** in *********** Pa was pet friendly so I clicked on the website to book. I decided to call instead just to make sure they actually had rooms because many hotels were full. The man on the line told me that they had rooms so I proceeded with payment. After paying $183.61, I packed up my daughter and dog then headed there to see about an early check in. Upon arrival, I realized that the hotel didn't have power either so I was confused about how I was able to pay for a room at a location with no power or ability to check us in. I asked the woman at the front desk to please refund my money however she said that I must have booked through a 3rd party and would need to call them. I went to the car to reach back out to the 800 number utilized to book and explained the situation. The woman apologized then placed me on hold to call and verify with the hotel. Unfortunately because there was no electricity, the phones were down too. I have been calling this company daily since 5/2/2025 and continue to get the run around about my re-fund. They keep telling me they are looking into, it but this is unacceptable at this point. They tried to give me a credit but I don't need or want a credit as I probably won't need a hotel anytime soon. They shouldn't have let me pay for a room at a hotel with no power and therefore I believe I'm entitled to refund instead of a credit I won't use for an issue I didn't cause. Every day that I call ************** I'm told there is no supervisor I can speak too but they are still looking into it.
