      I used the spothero app on nov 19 in ************ to reserve a spot and received an email confirmation. When I got to the lot the attendant told me they did not have any spots available. I confirmed with him that I had booked using spothero. He said oh yes, we participate but really we are first come first serve and it happens all the time. I said that they had already charged me. He stated they would give me my money back. I was charged and have yet to receive my money. I filed a dispute with my CC company and if that does not work I will file a complaint with BBB. It honestly felt like that Seinfeld episode. Why make me go through all that and end up being late for the symphony. SpotHero should vet who participates on their platform.

      Pricing is definitely at a premium compared to what the lot reserved may charge, but that is to be expected where there is a middleman. My issue is that customer support is misleading. I lost the paper ticket associated with the SpotHero reservation and called SpotHero support to resolve. They told me that if I was charged upon exiting the lot, they would "reimburse" me. Reimburse means a cash refund in my mind, but came in the form of a parking credit in the app - not the same thing if I don't plan to use the credit. Communication was responsive up until I asked for a refund to the card. The app is a convenient means to research parking availability, so do your own analysis of where time is better spent. Just don't lose your ticket.

      I paid for a spot in the parking ********* paid the $15 plus $1.05 service fee. I was about 25 min late past my reservation exit, but still the ** code they gave me didn't work, so I had to pay for parking, AGAIN. The parking structure billed me the ***imum they'd charge/day. And guess how much the parking structure charged me? $12. That's $4.05 cheaper than what SpotHero charged. When I called SH to discuss my ** code scanning issue & paying again at the exit, the guy said they covered only the hours I reserved & I'd be responsible for paying the extra 25 minutes. UMMMM WHAT. SH billed me more than the garage's *** daily fee, and then suggested I owed MORE. Anyway, thankfully I ended up getting a full refund from them after chewing them out in an email and threatening a bad ****** review. BUT. This was a terrible experience, and one I will never do again. Also, they're not on ****** so I can't even give them a crappy review, so here I am on BBB warning you to go elsewhere & find other options.

      These guys are pickpockets! The customer service was abysmal. My credit card was automatically charged for a second month. Even though I tried to cancel the second month, ******* was gruff and rude and repeated back the refund policy, and said, no, I couldn't even get a portion of my $60 back. Don't trust them with your credit card # and use another service!

      **Warning Stay Away from this company!!!Spot Hero is a complete scam. We paid for a reserved parking spot in downtown ******** with a 24 hour attendant which there was nobody there when we arrived or when we left. The parking lot is off the beaten path from the Dome where our event was taking place. This parking lot felt unsafe with nobody watching the lot. I will never use them again!

      Terrible company selling a "service" do yourself a favor and use another company or drive down and just find a spot because your going to be doing that anyways

      This is the second time I had this happen. The first time I let it slide as an oversight. I now believe they are deceptive on purpose. I paid for a spot in a lot with on site staff. I showed up and no spaces were available. No staff on site either. I parked illegally to walk around looking for staff or a phone number. Finally, I called Spot Hero customer service and spent 9 minutes on the phone with them. They just try to send you to another lot - which clearly they don't know if that lot is actually going to have spaces or not. They take no responsibility with the "independent parking lots." In the end between the 30 minutes of hunting for help and calling, someone finally left and I got a space. When I emailed them about the situation they told me to call customer service when it happens again. They are selling a service they can't guarantee because they can just force you to drive to another spot you don't have time to research rather than offer a refund. Very bait and switch and they should be investigated.

      Spothero charges more than twice the drive up rate (despite promises of being cheaper) and then their customer service is terrible and non responsive. Definitely do not recommend. They are horrible.

      I have the same EXACT issue as Austin * the same exact issue. ********, I went to a outside movie theater and upon returning my car had been towed and had to pay almost $300 to get my vehicle from being towed AND they only credited me $17.40 what a f****** joke!!! I have blasted SPOTHERO on ***************** and IG.The app shows my correct plate but I was told that my plate number was incorrect how is that possible when I showed them my reservation with the correct plate! I will and have told 100s and with me being a social media influencer (over 300K followers) I want everyone to know to NOT EVER USE THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COM*ANY THEY ARE TRASH AND YOU WILL GET YOUR CAR TOWED. SOMEONE ASKED MY opinion on this company and can they be trusted and I Told them absolutely NOT do not use them. They are horrible. They refunded me $17 and my uber ride to the tow company was $40 dollars ALONE! This section below is for SPOTHERO don't ask me to reach out directly because when I did you all played in my face acted as if I'm in the wrong and how is that EVERYONE is having the same exact issue and you assume its the consumer? DO NOT ask me to remove this review because I will NOT until this matter is fully resolved.

      I purchased parking through SpotHero for a concert in *******. When I arrived at the parking destination I updated the app with the license plate of the car I was using that night, and after it showed me the plate had updated I closed the app. When I returned after the concert my car had been towed, and I immediately checked to the app to find my license plate number had been reverted back to the one I previously had on the account. I then had to pay hundreds of dollars to get to my vehicle and to get it out of the tow lot. I have used SpotHero multiple times and I am very familiar with the app and had previously had no issue changing the license plate, but on this night a glitch occurred where after I had updated my license plate and confirmed it had updated, it reverted back to the old one, resulting in this incident. I have read multiple reviews where this has occurred and instances where spothero has compensated the patron with more than just a 50 dollar credit, but instead sent them money for the amount they paid the towing company. In my case, spothero has refused to acknowledge fault for the incident, even though it only occurred due to their faulty app, and they refused to provide compensation for the money I paid the tow company. I would advise other customers to find another company to purchase parking through in order to avoid issues like this that can occur in their app that they refuse to fix/acknowledge, or check your license plate number a million times after it already showed it had updated to make sure it doesnt flat out revert to the incorrect license plate number to avoid being towed, even though this is a ridiculous thing to expect customers to do after they have already seen the app update properly, just to revert later and cause incidents like this.
