On 12/01/22, I was admitted into Symphony West and told that I would receive therapy and assistance for my condition. I am a fall risk and require assistance with things like helping in the restroom and transporting myself from the bed to a chair. I am not bed-bound and can do a fair amount for myself, but what I do need help with, like bathing and walking into the restroom, I don't get help from the facility. On multiple occasions, I've been stuck in the restroom for over an hour and would have to call my family on the phone to have them call the facility to get me out. My family has told me when they do call; they are constantly hung up on. They completely ignore the call light and lack compassion or the common decency to keep you updated and let you know it will take over two hours for someone to help you to the restroom. I understand that I am not the only patient on the floor who needs help, but I think that waiting over an hour in a restroom to get off the toilet is neglect. Even though I had arrived on 12/01/22, it had taken multiple calls and my daughter begging to get them to bathe me on 12/04/22. When I arrived, I could do certain things, and now that I am in Symphony, I am losing all the progress I have made at my other facility because no one is giving me the therapy. My daughter had asked multiple times if she could speak to a social worker or get the facility's plan of care for me to help me get back on my feet and all they told her was either they didn't know or they would see if they could find out. She was so frustrated that she asked if she could speak to a nurse manager or the facilities director, and the staff told her they didn't know who the facility director was. At this point, I don't know why I am here and feel more like a number because I am not receiving therapy.
