If I could give a zero rating, I would. Although American Radiology Associates , PA (I visited the location in *******, **), admitted the billing/coding mistake they made, it has taken close to a year to resolve the issue with them. I received a mammogram in December 2022 and had yet another call with American Radiology Associates, PA and my insurance company (three-way call) in November 2023. Although American Radiology Associates, PA made the mistake, they sent my invoice to collections. The company does not take responsibility for its mistakes, is not apologetic, does not think (i.e., use brains), and does not have employees that are not problem solvers. As a result, the company has lost my business. I will find a different provider.

This is the worst customer experience, from making an appt to AFTER you would think you've paid and been done with them. First off, if you have several Xrays or MRIs to be done, despite the fact that the orders were all sent at the same time, they will either "lose" half the orders or deliberately schedule them on two different days so they can charge a second copay. Next, despite them scanning your insurance card, they will overcharge you by $500 for xrays that should have been a copay of $40. Then you need to call your provider and have them send orders for the half that they "lost"/ignored; and call your insurance company to intervene with them on the overcharge. They will call you to ask if you want the refund by check and then refund it to your card, all without any statement sent to you. When they finally start charging you something close to your copay for an MRI, the amount will be all over the map, eg $188.92, never the copay amount which is $200. If you show them your insurance evidence of coverage which clearly states $200, they will tell you they can't charge you more than what their system says. Then of course a month later you get a bill from them for $10.98, which requires creating an account on their billing system to view the statement to see what it's for, the billing system is different from the payment system which is different from their imaging results system so now you have three accounts with them. The $10.98 is the difference between your $200 copay and the odd $188.92 they insisted on charging you the day of the test. If you get fed up and look for other providers, there is only one in your city and they don't have access to the image history you have with this one and there is no way to transfer.
