This complaint is regarding the Mode Earn App owned by Mode Mobile, LLC. I completed tasks in the app in exchange for promised compensation which goes by a point system which is then redeemable for cash payment via PayPal. Upon cashing out my points, I waited for several days for my promised compensation to arrive. In the meantime, I spent many hours completing additional tasks for stated amounts of compensation and was almost done with another earnings goal to cash out. My first request was for a cash out of my points in the amount of $20, submitted on October 6th, 2022. The second request was not yet made, but I had approximately 80% of the points required for a cash out in the amount of $10. On the morning of 10/11/22, I received this email from Mode:"Hello,Thank you for being a loyal Mode Earn App user and submitting your recent redemption request.Unfortunately, we had to cancel this request as a system error was discovered with your account. You were awarded more points than intended for certain earning activities, including listening to music. We have returned the points from your recent redemption request to your account, however, your total point balance has been reduced to reflect the proper earnings rates for the activities that you completed. You can now initiate a new redemption request.We sincerely apologize for the system issues which erroneously inflated your points balance. We continue to work hard to develop a great product for our users and we hope you will continue to earn with the Mode Earn App.Thanks!"I do not believe this reneging on the stated compensation after my completion of the tasks is ethical, nor do I believe it is legal. This app promises rewards for tasks. I have redeemed thousands of points for downloading apps listening to music etc. I had originally tried to redeem in February of 2022 and have yet to receive any reward. There is only a bot to talk to that has only so many programmed responses then send a ticket and tells you they will contact you. Says it's the apps the reward comes from that there is an issue and contact them which makes no sense as I have not received a single reward from any company from the mode app.Initial Complaint

Earned enough points to get a stash reward, a 10 dollar reward and a 50 dollar reward. They canceled my 10 and 50 dollar reward and stole my points Earned. My stash reward They haven't bothered to do anything with. 6 plus months with claim it will take 7 business days.Initial Complaint

I used this app to earn extra money so over the course of 5-7 months I listened to music and did surveys and earned enough points to get 2 twenty dollar PayPal gift cards. On September 16 2022. Now that I have did all this work they are telling me that I didn't earn those points I find this unlikely to happen and I wonder how many other people they have done this to . They said they had a error with their system that's not my problem if the situation was reversed and I had a bill to pay with their company and I said there was error with my bank account that doesn't mean I can cancel my payment. Please don't let them get away with this. I want what I earned 2 twenty dollar PayPal gift cards.Initial Complaint

First, the address is not what's on the ****** Play page the address is ***************************************************************************. I have several screen recordings of me playing mode earning Rewards boosts taking surveys listening to music and I have not gotten every boost that mode says in their contract that they will give us this is not the only time but I have had this problem however I have now obtained screen recordings of set activity I tried to post on ******** that people should contact the Better Business Bureau and I was prevented from posting on solely their page the rest of ******** I could post to no matter what no problems I am not the only person that has had this problem arise and there are several people on their page complaining that mode mobile does not pay them mobile deactivates their accounts Etc which is a violation of their part of the contract unfortunately trying to upload the videos crashes the website however if contacted by email and the Better Business Bureau would like to see those videos I do have themInitial Complaint

Got my account reviewed for "invalid traffic reports". Been over a month and finally found their support email through a comment on their ****** Play Store reviews section. The reply I got says that my redemption has been canceled and the points won't be returned to my account. This is absolutely not legal. If you investigated me you would find that I am obviously not a robot trying to cheat the system. In such case I should receive my legally earned reward immediately.Initial Complaint

This app is a scam! After months of listening, I tried to redeem something as a reward. However, the redemption got canceled without any notice, and my points are gone! I have been using this Mode Earn App (previously Current) for years and I have successfully redeemed rewards a few times. In the past year, I used the app the same as before, and I saved my points for higher and better redemption. As soon as I tried to redeem a $100 gift card, they suspended my account. Obviously, they don't want to pay, instead, they are collecting users' data for free.Initial Complaint

Mode Earn pays for time you play games and listen to music in the event you reach a certain points to can cash out via PayPal well I did this serial times and they responded months later that do to invalid traffic reports they canceled my rewards I requested a call back from there customer service several times and never recieved a call all items documented on my end alsoInitial Complaint

Attempted to redeem points for a $10 amazon gift card in June 2022. They suspended my account for "fraud". A few days later, they sent another e-mail stating more tasks need to be performed on the Mode Earn app. Account unsuspended and redemption cancelled. ****** attempted again in Jul 2022. It has been over 1 month since redemption and no payment has been made. Many other users on reddit, discord, etc are all complaining of not receiving payment and also being threatened with suspension for fraud. No fraud has been committed and using the application per their terms of service and as the application is designed.
