      Actually, it's a negative 5 stars. I work for a provider, and ****** has the worst *** of all the other insurance companies. I called at 3:30pm on a Thursday. It took me 20 minutes to reach a representative who informed me that customer service hours end at 4 pm, so he might not be able to provide me with all the information. I gave him CPT codes, and he put me on hold. At 4pm, he came back on the line, mumbled something, and then hung up on me. I cannot believe that any customer service person would do that. ****** must not listen to their recorded messages. Unbelievable!

      I can't get anyone to help me or even understand my needs, all while paying for a PPO plan that I can't even use. BCBS refers me to Prime Therapeutics and then Prime refers me back to BCBS. All while having no medication for diabetes or a way to find who can fill my prescription for my CGM, which is a law not to deny here in Illinois.

      Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance Greed or Deception and dishonesty? You can decide. I walked into this facility with a case of poison ivy. I was told by the employee it would cost ****** for the visit. The *** took 10 minutes and gave me a script. A few months later I get a bill in the mail for ******! Liars and thieves? I am waiting for a phone call from the manager. Several days later, no call from her. I expect more bills in the mail. Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance s is the WORST insurance choice a person can make. Picked a plan through ************** and within a few months my primary care choice "Advocate Good Samaritan" was deleted from the system with no customer notification. The level of customer service and customer satisfaction is a 1/10. Automated phone system and no one takes any responsibility. GREED at the highest level. This is a perfect example of the Medical Industry Business. Overpriced for profit Medical Business is a SCAM. Avoid at all costs. Avoid choosing Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, you will be glad that you did it.

      Ive been attempting to get 2 claims re processed from Nov 2024 for over 6 months now. Multiple phone calls and nothing is getting resolved. I have two insurances BCBS Illinois should now be primary. Every time I think I have it confirmed I call again 10 business days later for it to reprocess. And they still dont have it listed correctly. Every call ends in check back in a few weeks I dont have a few weeks this shouldnt take this long to resolve.

      I applied for **************** for my son and they were supposed to take only ****** a month. and in 3 months, they have taken $1830.94. I keep calling for assistance and they tell me they will give me my money back, and they charge me again. I need help.

      This a very incompetent company. They refused to process a payment made on time and cancelled my insurance. I thought I got it straightened out but then received a notice that they cancelled due to member request and not receiving a payment. This is after I paid three months of premiums in January alone. Every phone call with ************** was an attempt to divert blame and attention to the marketplace. Then when I had enough and requested to cancel, they claimed they couldn't because the Marketplace did not send them a termination notice every thought **** had already cancelled my policy once before. I have spent more time this month trying to straighten out insurance with this company than I had spent all of last year in doctor's appointments. If there is any other insurance option, I guarantee it is 100% better than ****. Otherwise, your doctor's going to have to give you prescription ******* to deal with the headaches this company causes.

      Literally the WORST insurance provider out there. Had BCBS IL for like 3 years, had several procedures, dr ****** medications to where I hit my deductible. Two weeks later **** sent me over $15k to refund my entire year and started slapping on all the medical collections saying I never had insurance to start. OK why did my doctors take it for 10 MONTHS?!?! Why was I paying every month? Why did I hit my deductible. I'd rather chew off my own limb then ever have to deal with this company again.

      Blue cross has turned into a democratic ***** and ****** abomination insurance I've had them for 30yrs now January 2025 basically said stick it we don't want to give you an affordable plan, I'm in shock still having a company for 30 some years and the agent I spoke to was rude and basically said too bad stick it we don't care and can't help you. Now I see and understand what other people are saying about these big corporations don't want the middle class sector, a low end plan was 600 a month and I'm healthy

      My physician switched me to ******** because my ******** medication was contraindicated for my cardiac disposition. I had just had my ******** refilled when my physician called in a new script at ********* for ******** and BCBS denied to pay for the change in medication against my physicians request. When I went to pick it up on Saturday I was informed of this company's decision. I tried to call them and they're not open on the weekends. So I called the 24/7 nurse hotline and the nurse advised me to go to the nearest emergency room for this situation. What insurance company rather pay thousands of dollars for an emergency room visit than fill a requested physician medication order? How ridiculous! ****

      Absolutely god-awful...They leave a voicemail whispering, give you a case number with no explanation or call back number. So I had to call multiple different departments over 3 days during the holidays speaking to 13 different Representatives only to be hung up on or redirected to a survey. As I say a citizen in absolutely sickens me that every month I have to pay this so-called health care provider. This is especially hurts knowing that they don't have customer service **** they just have people that answer the phone. TRASH.
