I have been a customer of ********************************************* insurance, specifically the agent Miguel Sevilla ***** For 20 years. Throughout the 20 years, I have been a good customer and have always paid my bills on time, With only one claim filed when someone broke into my home years ago. In October 2020 I reached out to my agent to advise them that I had leaks in 3 places in my ceiling. The insurance company sent a representative to my home to observe the damage and I was later informed by there was nothing wrong with my roof shingles and the cost to fix the inside leaks would cost less than the deductible of $1,000, but never advised they could fix it if I paid the deductible. How can I fix multiple leaks in my home without the roof being fixed? Every time it rained I had water coming in through my ceiling in multiple places. It is impossible for there to be nothing wrong with the roof. I called three other times, two times in June 2021 and once in October 2021. A representative from American family insurance came to my home two other times and each time the response I received from the insurance company remained the same. All this time I continued having leaks in my home and was told by the insurance company there was nothing wrong with my roof. A couple of months ago I received a letter advising me that American family insurance elected not to renew my policy. In a letter they cited four claims as the reasons, none of which they did any work on my home as the amount was $0 as indicated on the letter. My agent failed to inform me of the claim process, I was never made aware that every time I called about the same issue, a new claim was being opened instead of re-opening the original claim. This was NEVER advised to me. . I have been unable to obtain new home insurance due to the 4 claims they filed. I have no insurance because of them. If something happens to me or my home I am uninsured and would lose everything. I am being punished by the insurance company for seeking help.
