This complaint is regarding the call center for Social Security Administration. I am using the main Social Security Administration office as a contact point for this compliant. I reached out the *** customer service number on the morning of Monday September 9, 2024, regarding a notice I received about my deceased father. I patiently waited on the phone for 2+ hours and then was connected to a customer service representative by the name of Steph from Unit 52 from what I was told. I simply needed an address change. But the woman was not pleasant or helpful instead she was rude and unprofessional. I gave her all the needed information for myself and my deceased father. She asked if I was receiving benefits and I responded no I just needed to change the address as I am the survivor of benefits for the individual I am calling in reference to. Her response to me is asking If I was ignorant. I was blow away by her attitude and her response towards a customer. In a time of mourning I would have never thought to speak to someone with such mannerism. I still cant believe that she was allowed to speak to an individual in such a way and that SSI would employ such a horrible person. I hope this complaint reaches the right person and this matter is addressed appropriately. No one should ever be spoken to in such a manner it is just unacceptable.

I filed for social security benefits back in October and was told I would start to receive my benefits in December. I am 66 years old and still is currently working . My husband passed in 2020. Therefore I am filing for spousal benefits that I am entitled to. I received a letter from Social Security stating that I have not paid my medical insurance and therefore they are withholding all my monthly benefits beginning December 2022 to recover past due medical insurance premiums. I have paid my insurance benefits and is current and up to date. I have never missed a payment. I am working with the ****** Social ******************************************************* but there always appears to be an issues . I keep getting the run around and they are saying I will not start to receive my payments until Feb. I am in greatly need of my money as I went for a 2 household income to a 1 household income. Please help. I spoke with **** from that office early this am and he verified that I have paid my insurance and is up to date. I also have copies of my payment and have mailed the copies to their office. I am hoping to receive payment this month. I requested to speak with a manager but no one has called me back. I also left a message for ********************** to call me back and she has not called. I was told that I should receive back pain from July when I turned 66 years old. Thanks for your assistance with this matter. I never should have gotten this letter because they could have checked that I am current with my medical insurance payments.
