We are demanding that the total fees paid to Monarch Legal Group and any other fees from third party sources be returned within 30 days of receipt of this letter. The total due is $39,360.52, according to the facts presented. Along with the acknowledgement that Monarch Legal has stated they can no longer represent ***** and ******** **********. Monarch Legal has stated they cant fulfill the contract they committed. They were handling my *************** debt, and said that I just had a $713 left on my accounts and that they could not take care of it due to a court order in federal court in a case that is not mine. I go to settle it with *************** and Blitz and Gain's legal and they say I now owe over ***** and will not accept $713 payment. This is the 3rd time I have have had to bring in BBB, 1st being that Monarch's lawyers would not show up on court after staying they would be there to defend me. 2nd time was about this manner because it was suppose to be resolved in October 2024 and after talking to Monarch they agreed November the account would be paid off. They made the November payment they said I have 713 more and I can pay in January and be done. I try to do that and I'm told I owe ***** more and that nobody will accept my 713 payment at all but what's to charge me for not paying.Initial Complaint

In 2019 me and my husband hired monarch legal group to help with our ****** dept. we paid them $639 for 4 years and they did not pay our debt, now creditors are suing us for their money. I signed up with Monarch Legal in December 2019 with $36k in debt. They estimated Id need to pay just under $600 per month to have my debt resolved in 4 years. Despite being told several times since Dec 2023 that last creditor had agreed to settle at less than 50% and Id have completed with the program by Dec 2024 (5 years into the repayment program).I called 12/2/2024 to find the status of my last debt to be paid ($11k). And was informed that due to a lawsuit the program was ending at the end of this year. The last debt was not going to be settled and I needed to make other arrangements. I had called as recently as September to confirm all debts would be paid off this year. I received no communication that the program was ending and thered be no resolution for the outstanding debt. I enrolled in the debt settlement program over 5 years ago with 4 credit cards totaling $60K. Monarch settled only $23K for minimal reductions in amount owed and $37K still remains outstanding with 1 creditor. Due to lawsuit; Monarch said they can no longer represent me and says I'm on my own. They said they will not refund any of the $15K of program fees I paid upfront and that fees are non-refundable and earned by them when paid (even if they don't settle the debts). However the contract says there is a performance standard where they will refund fees paid for any debts not settled or settled for under 35% reduction in balance. Even though contract says this; Monarch is saying they cannot/will not refund any of the fees I paid. Total scam!Initial Complaint

I took a contract out to help pay off credit cards. The company told me that in July 2023 that I would be done with payments. It is now Oct. *********************************************************************************** emails sent they say they have not come to a settlement on the very last card. Nothing is being done and I need help!! We signed a contract that ****** , we were supposed to give them a certain amount each month for a certain amount of months and they were to pay off our credit card debt.They surpassed the date once and they told me" My last.Draw was to be in September. 2024 They are.Trying to charge me for 8 more months. We hired them to pay off our credit cards. We had a debt of $16k. We have paid them over $25k over the last 5 1/2 years and only half the credit cards are settled. They have stuck us with attorneys who do not call you back. Its been over a year since I have spoke to the attorney handling my case in court. He refuses to speak with me and Monarch has not heard from him since ***. 2023. They refuse to assign me another attorney. I have 4 outstanding credit card. They made us set up a Ram account. It has $917 in it. But not paying on my cards. I want out of my contract. I want my money back. My contract was to be over in 5 years! They say we have to keep paying them $385 a month till credit cards are paid off. And blame me for not sending extra money to settle credit card debts! They will not give me all the documentation of my account. They are emailing the contract to me because I was never provided a paper copy. And letters of the 4 accounts they did settle. They will not send nothing else.
