    Lufthansa advertised an Economy Flex option for a flight which "allows refundability". There's an extra cost associated with this option. I opted for it, paid the extra money, and purchased it.I attempted to cancel and receive a refund 2 weeks prior to the flight via their app, I wasn't able to.I attempted to cancel and receive a refund 1 week before the flight by calling. First representative stated their "systems were down and to try again in an hour". Second rep told me a refund isn't possible due to their policy.When I asked for the policy he directed me to a page regarding flight cancellations. When I mentioned that, and asked for the refundability policy, he hung up on me.Lufthansa's claim is that it was stated in the fine print it was stated that refundability was not allowed due to other legs of the flight being a more restricted fare. Then why advertise it, and why collect the extra money for it?Either give me the refund or stop advertising this feature.

    Dear ****,My family (spouse and son) and I were travelling to ********, ***** in May 2023. My son is disabled and requires a wheelchair for any mobility, and he can't get up from wheelchair without being lifted. I made the booking with Lufthansa beginning of February 2023 hoping to get the arrangements for my son as advised by Lufthansa customer service. After booking the flights (round-trip), I was not comfortable with a response I got from Air Dolomiti (the airline for the flight from ****** to ********) regarding arrangements for my son. I actually wrote an email to Air ******** stating my concerns at the time. Knowing the challenges I may face during the travel, I decide to change my travel arrangements; fly non-stop to **** and a by road to ******** to ensure the safety of my disabled son.I then cancelled the flight with Lufthansa 2+ months in advance (some time in March 2023) and requested for a refund. I have been refunded a small amount ($200) of the total I paid (about $9,000). I have called Lufthansa's customer service in *** and *******, have submitted a compliant, written emails requesting a full refund stating my reasons .. I have not had any response to my complaint to date. Their customer service has not been useful to help resolve.Attached pdf files are itineraries bookings Sincerely, *************************
