      Shipped a gaming pc in perfect condition and they said they won't pay because it's damaged and there's nothing they can do.

      Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns via the BBB platform.


      Unfortunately, there was no effort made to package the desktop properly, and, as a result, it arrived broken and DOA. As communicated previously, this heavy desktop tower was placed in a flimsy thin box unwrapped, with absolutely no padding other than a few **** Priority mailers (a violation of federal law) and some scrap paper on the bottom (please see attached photos). It also needed to be adequately sealed. We received it half-open, with pieces of paper towel sticking out of it. Unfortunately, there was no way this desktop could make it to us in one piece packaged this way. One could even suggest that such packaging (or rather lack of thereof) was intentional.

      Now, we cannot ************ PC. We cannot file a claim with the carrier, as *** does pick up packaging and gadget for inspection and documents everything from the condition of the box to the types of packing materials used. And, unfortunately, there is nothing to inspect, as the box is coming apart and there was no packaging provided. A few smaller **** Priority Mail padded envelopes cannot be considered packaging. Especially for a computer this size. At this point, we can pay a fee to recycle the tower appropriately. 

      *****, as a seller, you have agreed to ensure the device is adequately packaged by accepting our Terms of Service before placing the sale order and shipping the device to us. While we cover the postage cost, sellers are responsible for properly packaging their gadgets to ensure safe transit and maximum payouts. That's one of the conditions for selling via our platform. And yes, damages in transit can and do happen, but had this device been adequately shipped, we would not have found ourselves in this situation. 

      Sir, I understand the frustration of the situation, but can you honestly say that you made every effort to package your PC desktop as you had agreed to by accepting our Service Terms? We agree to "hold up our end of the bargain," but the seller has to hold up theirs too. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. And given that we already spent $130+ in postage cost alone (*** dimensional weight charge applies to shipments of this size, postage cost can be estimated here *********************************************), and ended up with an unsalvageable tech on our hands, the best we can do for you is to pay for recycling. If you would like the device returned, please provide us with a prepaid shipping label from the carrier of your choice. Thanks again.
