    I purchased a car warranty from forever car as recommended to me by my credit union. I have had it since the purchase of the vehicle and have never used it. My coverage goes out in 6 months and this is my first time attempting to use it. After my wife who is a heart patient sat at the dealership for several hours while they attempted to contact someone to file the claim, the adjustor came back advising me that they will only pay for an after market part to replace the compressor for my ac. I have been paying for the platinum warranty and never expected someone representing this company to inform me that they will only pay for a sub par product to be placed on my wife's vehicle. We attempted to talk to customer service and a person who advised she was a supervisor (*******) advised us after being on the phone with her and the customer service person we spoke to prior to her for over an hour. Keep in mind that my wife has already been waiting at the dealership for several hours waiting to be told this. If I allow them to put an after market part on my car and purchase another warranty when this one goes out, they will not want to replace it if something happens to this aftermarket part. They even have this in their contract saying that they will not cover aftermarket items unless they are installed by the manufacturer. So that puts me in a further bind if I decide to get an additional warranty once this one expires. This is very upsetting and I will definitely be calling my ************ to advise them of this and to recommend that they no longer recommend this company for any future customers if this is their policy. The contract says "we may use replacement parts used in covered repairs that may include NEW, remanufactured, pre owned or non original equipment manufactured parts" which is misleading because it does not say "we will", but "we may". Very disappointed this being my only experience with this company filing a claim after paying them so long

    I purchased Forevercar in 2020 and have never used it. The a/c on my car went out and I contacted them so I could take it to their preferred auto repair. I was told they did not have any preferred auto repair shops here and to take it to any ase mechanic. I have been unable to find a mechanic that will file a claim with Forevercar. They all want for me to pay for repair and file myself. According to Forevercar they will not honor any repair claim unless it is submitted by the mechanic. Makes no sense to me how they get the claim as long as repair of the a/c is covered and it is. Very disappointed and now feel that I have wasted my money for over 2 years. As an 82yr old female I feel like I have been taken advantage of since the representative I talked to treated me like I was stupid and continued to talk over me. She kept telling me to go to mrclaims.net and I kept telling her that I had and it said my coverage had expired to which she finally acknowledged and she asked if I had coverage. This is the same person who was looking at my contract and my coverage. Dont waste your time or money.

Your Plan Administrator, Assurant will accept a claim from any licensed mechanic nationwide, but the shop has to be willing to call to file the claim. The repair shops in your area have no affiliation with Assurant, so they cannot forcea shop to file a claim on your behalf.
