I was contacted by NSLA Carship on Thursday August 15, 2024 in regards to shipping my vehicle from ******** to *******. I was given a quotation of $275 to have the job done with a $100 deposit which I sent to *************************** via cash app the same day. The next day I received a call stating they couldn't find a drive for the price they quoted me but they did find a driver for $699 which I declined. I was told to give them until the day and the morning of the next day to find a cheaper driver. I requested a my refund back on cash app from ******** on yesterday and still no refund.Initial Complaint

BEWARE OF THIS TRANSPORTATION SERVICE! THIS IS A SCAM OPERATION!I needed my car transported from AZ to **. ****** from National Carship, LLC contacted me and I eventually contracted on 08.06.24 for $1,100.00. Pretty fair deal, I felt. He then requested the deposit of $100.00, and I did pay for it ($104.00) and I was okay with that. I also requested in writing that the agreed upon weight in the car, per his advertisement is 200#. He never would supply that, only verbalized it. I thought there may have been a confusion with communication, for ****** has a very heavy accent and is hard to understand. I just wanted to be clear with all the expectations. Well, here is where the scam comes in. He called me on 08.12.24 and stated that the driver requested and additional $200.00 and I refused to pay. We argued for about five minutes, for he was trying to get me to pay it, and I stated that the company should eat the cost, for I have a contract for $1,100.00. It was then I asked for my deposit to be refunded, and I also requested the number for his manager. He sent me ************. I called this number three times, and each time it went to VM. The manager is for ***********************. I left several messages, and after reading the other complaints I figured I would never hear back from anyone. How can this company continue to scam people who? They should be ashamed of themselves, but I feel they don't care at all. I am hoping this complaint will help others to decide to move past this company, and not to fall into the trap of a SCAM.Initial Complaint

I scheduled pick up for my car to be shipped from ********, ** to **, **. I was told by ***** that they could garuntee pick up on 8/12. The garuntee of pick up was the reason I chose this company over others. I recieved minimal information leading up to 8/12, but was assured that they would be getting a time window to me soon. On 8/12 I reached out at 9am PST for more details and was told they will update me soon. I called and texted again around 12pm PST and was told the same thing. I called and texted several more times and was pushed to voicemail and not responded to. I reached out on instagram, ******** messenger, and email with no reply. As a result I had to extend my current hotel accommodations and change my flight for the next day. I called both contacts that I have this morning 8/13 at 9am PST and was sent to voicemail. I selected this company due to the high rating on BBB and demand a correction to this rating. This company took my 104 dollar deposit. The are a fraudulent company.Initial Complaint

Signed a contract for $550 to have car shipped. Was not picked up for two days later than agreed then the company changed the price to $850 and said there was no other choice. I argued about it but was forced into signing a new contract. They also required a ****** down payment on the new contract. I paid it. Leaving a balance of $750, then when the driver arrived with the car, he demanded the agreed $850. He did not speak English. We tried to explain that we paid the ****** down and it was already 300 more than original contract. After an hour of arguing with ***** from National car ship, the driver finally left and said he got scammed and we did too. I told ************ was reporting him. I never heard from him again. He charged us one price after baiting us into much cheaper price. We had no other choice as we needed the car shipped. He told me even if we wanted to hire another company we wouldnt be able to find another driver because he could see the board of all available drivers and there were none so Id never get the car. I felt no other choice but to be bullied into paying a higher fee. Then he cheated the driver.Business Response

Hi there,
We are brokers, we found a driver for $800 from **********, ******** to *****************. If you can check this route, it's not a regular route for carriers. So, I searched around and found a driver from 160 far away from *********. Also, one of the drivers which I found at the beginning canceled after we hired him, so I found another driver he agreed to $25 more and I told him to pay $25 from our company after delivery. So, it was fear that we did not charge the customer for more money than the agreement. I've attached communication with the customer and all the facts which told is true.Initial Complaint

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT ******************************************** ?My husband used National Car Ship to have our car delivered, the pick up was for ****** to ******** and the car was picked up on 26Oct2023 and we were told by ****** at National car ship it would be here by 1Nov2023, we did not receive the car on this date, ****** stated there was traffic and it would be delivered on 2Nov2023, called all day no update. On 3Nov2023 we called and ****** said it would be delivered before 5, then after that couldn't reach ****** him . We had to call the POLICE in order to locate the car because ****** quit returning our phone calls. The car was delivered at 11:08 p.m. and the driver sat in our driveway for over an hour demanding an additional $100 which was not part of the contract and would not leave until he got that money. The car had 378 additional miles on it, there is a dent on the back and the paper mat was thrown to the other side that was on the driver side. The bill of sale and Title states 48, 770 for mileage and the mileage on the car now is ******. The delay in the car is because it was driven for over 5 hours 378 miles by someone within this company and explains the long delay in delivering it. This is horrible a very untrustworthy and scary process. This needs to be escalated this has been the worst service we have ever received, I do not want a "credit", I want them to pay for the dent that their company put on the car and payment for the 378 miles and a refund for this service! I will never us this company again so save your breath on offering a "credit" for future use because they are crooks and I will never use them again and I want this to be a warning to all others it's not worth going with the cheaper company.***************************** **********Business Response

*******/*****,
First of all, we would like to apologize that we fell short of your expectations and your experience was not what we strive to achieve when helping customers. We are a transportation broker that arrange for the shipment of vehicles using our network of thousands of trucking companies that are licensed by FMCSA and hold an insurance certificate. We are at the mercy of our carrier partners when it comes to transporting our customer's vehicles safely. But there is so much we can do that sometimes things may go wrong and those are the things that are out of our control. I also would like to reiterate our company's position, which we firmly believe is in compliance with the nature of our business operations. As you are aware, our role in this transaction was solely that of an intermediary, responsible for vetting carriers (licensed and insured) and arranging for the transportation of the vehicle. We want to emphasize that, as per the terms and conditions outlined in our agreement with both the customer and the carrier, we do not bear responsibility for any damages to the cargo itself.
In response to your claims of car damage and vehicle driven in transit, we have diligently worked over the week to coordinate with the carrier's insurance company to obtain the official insurance certificate proving that your property was transported with carrier that is insured and licensed by ******************************************** We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully obtained the necessary documentation, which includes the official insurance certificate and the dispatch sheet and sent them over to you earlier today. We recommend that customer sends over all the necessary proofs of damage, police report and etc. to get the claims settled as quickly as possible.
We believe that these documents will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the insurance coverage in place for this shipment and the details of the dispatch.
We remain committed to resolving this matter in an equitable manner and in accordance with the terms of our agreement. That is why we went ahead and refunded you the $100.00 that customer paid extra to the driver at the delivery location which was not what we agreed for. Please see the attached screenshot.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you require any additional information or clarification regarding these documents or any other matter related to this case.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because, National Car Ship chose the third party transport service they were not trustworthy, I want people to beware of National Car Ship because they don't care once it leaves their hands. I want a full refund from National Car Ship for this horrible experience and I don't want anyone to use them again!
Sincerely,

*******,
Please note that we have already fully refunded what we were paid to dispatch this truck. We are a transportation broker not a carrier. If anything, you should be reaching out to the carrier. Anything can happen on the road, there is no way we could have known that your car would be delivered late or have any issues. It is outside our control. On our end, we have fullfilled the terms of the contract and did our due diligence to put your vehicle in an insured and licensed transportation company.

Henry

Dear Customer,
While we strive to provide the best service at the most affordable prices for our customers, sometimes truck market and weather conditions dictate that we cancel or reschedule pickups for already dispatched orders. This is especially the case when order is placed a few weeks or months out. We are at the mercy of our partner carriers to hold their end of the contract to move our clients' vehicles. But we never force our customers to accept prices they don't want to pay.
We always give our customers a chance to cancel the contract and get 100% refund (if they have made a reservation payment) if they are not happy with the price fluctutations before order is dispatched. To make things right, we can give a $100 OFF your next order with us as one time exception. Please present the following message and code DIL5693 (Only valid for one-time use and expires 10/8/2025) to get $100 OFF total price of the invoice when you move your car with us again.
Thank you for using our services and we look forward to working with you again in the future.

On June 5, 2023 I signed a contract to have my son's Jeep shipped from ******* to **** with an agreed upon price of $600 for pick up on August 14, 2023. I made the $150 deposit on June 9, 2023 via Cash App. On August 14, 2023 (the day my car was supposed to be picked up) I made a call to National Carship to find out what time it would be picked up. We were leaving first thing in the morning the next day. I was surprised when I was told that there was no one scheduled to pick up my car. After multiple calls to and from the office I was finally told that I could ************** out but I would have to sign another contract and pay an extra $150 (this happened at around 6pm). Considering it was the evening before I had to leave I had no choice but to agree. I had to wait until 11:30 that evening for the car to finally be picked up. I got a call the following day saying they were ready to drop off the car. I told the carrier that I scheduled to get the car on August 17th, not 16th. I could not get the car that day because I had not made it to **** yet (part of the reason for this was me having to stay up late the night before waiting for the car to be picked up). I told the carrier I could meet him that evening (since I still had many hours of driving until I got to the destination). We met up that night and the carrier was saying I needed to pay him $750 (instead of the $600 that was due since I made the down payment). I had to show him my receipt from already paying the $150 down and told him I could not pay anymore for the shipment. I let him discuss this with his boss & left with my car.I am not the type of person to complain, but this was terrible business. National Carship had June, July, and 14 days in August to find a carrier and set up pick up. I agreed to one price but ended up having to pay $150 more than the agreed price. I am very upset with the service and how everything turned out. I tried contacting them on August 28, 2023 but they have not responded.Business Response

I was contacted by National Carship LLC on July 20th, 2023 via text with a quote to ship my car. After getting all of the info and clarification of any questions I had, I signed a contract with a total of $700 to pick up and ship the vehicle. I paid $150 deposit & was to pay the remaining balance once the car got to the destination. The pickup date was set for August 7th, 2023. I did not hear anything from anyone so I reached out and was told they couldnt find a carrier for that price. I reminded them that they had me sign a contract and theyre the ones who offered that price! He said he would continue to look for a driver. The following day I reached out again and was told they found someone to do it for $300 more than the original price same day pick up. I declined he said he will pay $50 and they gave an extra $50 discount. I agreed. I signed a new contract. He then stated they will pick up the following day(2days past original pickup date) between 3pm-6pm. Today August 9,2023 the car still hasnt been picked up and now no one will respond to me. I requested a refund for my deposit and have yet to get a response. I called another shipping company and they said they see my request still on the board and has yet to be accepted by a company. So I was lied to and given the run around. Very unprofessional.Business Response
