    This auto repair shop was contracted to remove and replace the front ball joints on my mothers 2015 VW Golf TDI S 6spd last year. When I first saw the car about ***** miles later, I noticed the front tires were completely bald while the rear tires had at least 50% tread remaining. All four tires are the same make and model, all purchased and installed at the same time. I rotate the tires at least once a year and before this shop touched the car, the alignment and tire wear were normal. I decided to poke my head around near the front suspension and discovered this shop had installed the ball joints backwards. The ball joint with a *** * cast into the part was installed on the right side while the ball joint with R on it was on the right side. I called the shop to request at least a partial refund because they did not complete the job they said they would do, and their work caused excessive wear and tear on the car. The poor workmanship also resulted in a dangerously misaligned car that would try to steer itself over bumps and caused the front tires to wear so far down in a short amount of time that it would hydroplane with any amount of water on the road. I have never received a call back from this business despite calling and leaving several voicemails. I did not take photos of their work before fixing the issue they caused, but I do have a video documenting what I found when I inspected the front suspension showing the improperly installed parts.

    We had the transmission replaced on our car on 8/5/24. The car has 39K miles on it.After a couple of weeks, we started having issues with the car vibrating/shaking/clunking noises (which were coming from underneath the car).We explained the issues and the owner (***** *.) said to leave the car for him to diagnose. Finally, (after 10 days!), on 9/19/2024, ***** had our car towed to ****** dealership for them to figure out the issue since he could not figure it out himself.They diagnosed the car issue, told us that the cost would be $933.51 and it would be ready the next day. We paid them the amount and had the car picked up. We rarely drove the car since 9/19 but on 10/10/24, the car started shaking heavily and nearly shut off while driving on a main road and almost made us cause a car crash. We took the car back to Star ****** and left it with them to diagnose it. ?Star ****** found two main issues - BOTH relating to the transmission.? Issue #1 was Car has used transmission installed. Transmission has the wrong type of fluid, leaking the trans pan. Detailed explanation from *********** can be provided, if needed. The second issue is that they found codes P0500, P1715, P2765 ALL related to transmission. The car needs idle relearning and they found loose ground to transmission. This loose ground is known to cause these codes and possible drivability issues.??New bill is $1,533.92 with ************They also said that since the car had WRONG transmission fluid put in, we may need a new transmission soon due to the damage it may have caused.?We reached out to A1 Auto/Truck and explained everything to him and that the vibrating issues are all related to the transmission/ that he put in the wrong fluid and that there was a loose ground to the transmission. We asked him to refund us the money we paid him for the transmission, because we will possibly need a new transmission soon due to the mistakes he made. He has been non-responsive ever since.
