Avoid this insurance company. I tried to cancel my insurance policy, but there are no real person will talk to you. I chat with customer service. But that is not a real person. I emailed to customer service stated that I would not renew my insurance policy and told them not deduct the premiums from my credit card. They ignore my email and deduct the renewal charges on my credit card anyway. When I discover the charges and chat on line with them, they said I did not cancel my insurance policy. They refuse to give me full refund even though I already have started coverage from other insurance company with better rate. Don't be fool that they have better rate than other insurance company.

Without ever initiating contact with Clearcover I received an email from them titled Required Notice: Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) with a Consumer Report Notice attached. They claim I had recently applied for or purchased insurance from Clearcover and we used your consumer report information to determine your eligibility or rate It continues In accordance with the Pair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), we are sending this required notice to inform you that the initial quoted price for insurance may have increased as a result of the information your public driving record. I had NEVER applied for or purchased insurance from Clearcover. When I reached out to them the Customer Advocate a talked to said repeatedly Clearcover was following FCRA guidelines. But the fact is I had NEVER applied for or purchased insurance from Clearcover, so why they would send such email/notice. To me sounds unethical. If they did this for marketing purposes to win new customers for sure I wont become one.

I spoke to clearcover about my payment being received. I was told my payment received and my status would be updated to paid. Its been a month and a half and I still get emails. And text that my service will be canceled when I speak to someone about this I'm told it will be resolved and it never has and I still haven't heard from clearcover and now I'm getting text saying that my insurance will be canceled.

All went well for some time. Then they cancelled me because, according to them, I hadn't returned a form verifying the annual mileage of the insured vehicles. I believe I did. However, I requested the form verifying mileage be resent and was told they could/would not do that. I was told if I could find the form and send it in my insurance would be maintained. Nonsensical. Now do business with ****. Much better.

Very dodgy people. Gave me the old "bait and switch" routine. Offered me a price for insurance coverage, but when I contacted them, they tried to charge me a substantial amount over their initial offer. **************** is rude and slow as well.

My husband had Clearcover 1st prior to us getting married. I was added to the policy after marriage. I hit a deer and had to make a claim to repair my vehicle. Time is approaching for renewal. Police went up about $125 for 6 months for both vehicles. He was upset and said he would be cancelling and we both needed to find our own insurance. I started to shop around for new insurance, called Clearcover to see if they would insure just me. They said no, as was married and we both lived in the house, they do not cover married couples (separate policies). 2 days prior to renewing, he was to call and cancel. Turns out, he called and took me off of the policy. HE DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO DO THIS AND DID THIS WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. I know this as I still had the app and could see that he had taken me off and paid for a 6 months policy for him in full. I called Clearcover, they went back and listened to the phone call. My husband told them that we were divorced and I no longer lived in the home. I told Clearcover that this was not the case. They told me to advise my husband that he needed to call/he would be getting an email. He did not call however Clearcover sent him an email. They only had him add me as an excluded driver. Me on the other hand had to submit a bill in my name and the deed with my name on it. I called and asked why I could not have a police in my name and exclude him as a driver. They went around in circles with me. I have Progressive now however, Clearcover rates are lower. So you can lie to your insurance company, keep your good rate. We are married and in the same house! Was not sure if I leave a review or file a complaint, maybe I will do both-

Clearcover insurance will steal money from your account after you canceled your insurance policy. Then they will tell you that you are the one that is wrong, and will not refund your money to you. Anyone that has a policy through them I suggest you change companies now before they rob you too.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The company charged me for a policy I never initiated. Then told me I would have to pay for one day on the new policy in order to get a refund. DO NOT USE. I am much happier with statefarm. This was the worst customer service rep *** ever dealt with:***** *./Licensed Customer and Agent Success Advocate

Without my consent Clearcover changed my old salvage 2012 VW car policy and charged me $900 through automated payment from my checking account and refused to refund, what a scam.

My Boyfriend has this insurance and he will be transferring to the company I use. He had a wreck two months ago and they still have made absolutely no progress. He had injuries after being rear ended, supposedly the other driver had insurance. The only thing Clearcover has asked for is pictures of his vehicle. Anyone who has been in a wreck knows if you need a valid inspection to do anything. If i could give this company a negative, I would. If you want insurance that will handle your claim correctly, look elsewhere!
