      Vehicle was illegally towed from parking lot of ******* at *************. ******************. No manager available to dispute. Demanded payment and drivers license from behind a tinted glass where you can not see them and raised the cost of towing after I became reasonably upset. They demanded $275 then when I asked to see who I was giving my money and I.d too then they charged me $520. Vehicle improperly towed damaging vehicle. Reported to police and BBB.Tried to call owner/ manager multiple times. I was told that I can forget about it that I wasn't getting my money back from the worker on the phone.       The reason this vehicle was towed is because who was driving the vehicle walk off the property. This lot is for only for customers who are conducting business with ***** and staples. If you park there and go anywhere else, you will get towed. There are signs stating that at staples and ***** is only when you conducting business when you may park there. As far the price the dispatcher that answer the call is new didn't realize that your vehicle gross weight was *****lbs you may see that from the side label of the driver door saying your GVWR is *****lbs. Due to that by **************************** police regulate the cost of that vehicle instead of been $240.70 is actually $520.00 that's the reason why the vehicle cost was that much. As for windows been dark, yes, they are at some point because we are protecting ourselves so when we are out of work no one recognize us at this work environment we don't know what could happened to us as far been attack and we have kids, so we do it for safety.

      Car was wrongfully towed. Permit was displayed and readable as well as I was right there telling the guy and showing proof i lived there but he ignored me, almost ran me over, and towed the car fast as to avoid me. My car is with mechanic so I borrowed car.

      Today is 11/27/2024 I awoke this morning and found that my vehicle had been illegally towed through the night, when I inquired with the tow company why my vehicle has been taken they had informed me that it was for no parking permit the sticker is clearly displayed on my front windshield. I asked if one of the clerks could walk through the gate with me so I can show them that I have this sticker on my window and that my vehicle was illegally towed and they refuse to help me at all. I was forced to pay for the tow even tho I had my sticker and was in my own parking spot. I have included the picture of my parking permit on my windshied.

      Illegally towed my car from the staples parking lot.

      As, I open the complaint all I saw was a refund of $248.00 not sure why that amount, second no explanation. So as my response is that, that lot is monitor 24/7 anyone that leaves the property will be towed as soon they step out. That parking lot is only for ***** or ******* customers while they are conducting business with those facilities. As soon the customer is done, and they wish to go anywhere else they need to remove their vehicle out of the premises and park it on the street. Reason is, because the management company feels that person that leaves the car there and goes anywhere else, they are taking the spot of a new customer.  As far the tow price is $240.70 not $248.00 as mentioned on the complaint.

      I am rejecting this response because: I was shopping inside of staples and my car was illegally towed anyway. I was inside of the store for less than 15 minutes and came outside to no car in the lot. So explain to me how and who is surveillancing this lot because they are not doing a good job because my car was towed even though I was shopping at the correct store.

      This occurred 8/24/2024. We parked at the staples at the loop and stopped at ********* first to then end our trip at ********** right next to staples. Which would be using the parking lot as intended and using the businesses lot. We got back from ********* to find our car towed. They said we needed to stay by the car if we wanted to go to any store near by when there was no indication of this co called rule. There were 4 other people with their cars towed with similar stories this towing company is corrupt and needs corrective action immediately.

      COMPLAINTS CONCERNING UNREASONABLE PRACTICES My complaints against Rokaitis Industries **** include obfuscation of information, obstructed signage, and mistreatment by Rokaitis Industries **** employees:OBSTRUCTED ********************* OF INFORMATION The placement of signage by Rokaitis Industries ****, obfuscates information that would inform drivers of the parking restrictions.As a result of the obstructed placement of signs by Rokaitis Industries **** drivers entering the lot from the north and parking in the lot's central area have no visibility of signage detailing parking restrictions (due to obstructed signs at the entrance and on the south and east borders of the lot). Further, they are offered misleading information by the placement by Rokaitis Industries ****of the only unobstructed signage. It is unreasonable practice for Rokaitis Industries **** to tow vehicles without providing sufficient access to restriction information.MISTREATMENT I received flagrant mistreatment in interacting with Rokaitis Industries **** employees.I used my vehicle's horn to alert a driver from Rokaitis Industries **** that they were blocking my exit from the premises. In response the Rokaitis Industries **** driver addressed me as a "dumb bitch" and threatened to further block my exit.CONCLUSION Due to the wrongful removal of my property as a result of obfuscated information, and following the egregious mistreatment I received in interacting with Rokaitis Industries **** employees, I demand from Rokaitis Industries *** a return of the fee collected in exchange for my vehicle, totaling $240.20 (invoice, attached).I also powerfully urge the BBB to further investigate the wrongful practices of this company and urge recourse to rectify and prevent additional damage to Illinois residents.I thank you sincerely for your time and efforts towards rectifying unreasonable practices.

      There will be no refund. Reason is because this lot is monitor 24/7 by the drivers anyone that walks and do not conduct business with ***** or staples, they get towed. This parking lot is only while you are conducting business with staples and *****. The management company set it up this way, reason been because this lot is so small, and people be parking there and leaving to other stores. Is not under control of the signs of other stores been exposed on the side of the business of ***** or staples. There are clear signs stating this lot belongs to ***** and staples.

      However, I am rejecting this response. It is unreasonable practice by Roakitis Industries **** to maintain towing privileges of this lot without providing unobstructed information giving users of the lot information that will prevent their property from being removed.

      Car was towed from lot despite me being in the store because I stepped off lot onto sidewalk before going into store. Even though they admit I was off for only seconds and was using the store they say they are allowed to tow. I filed a police report and the store confirmed I was a customer in the store during the towing.

      STAPLES AND CHASE LOT IS MONITOR 24/7 FOR WALK OFFS. THAT PARKING LOT IS ONLY WHILE CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH THEM, ONCE YOU DONE CONDUCTING BUSINESS WITH THEM AND YOU DECIDE TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE NEED TO REMOVE THAT VEHICLE FROM THE LOT.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I did not leave the lot to go anywhere else, I stepped to the lot entrance sidewalk to read the sign at the entrance to make sure there was no payment required then went into *******. This is on video and staples confirmed I was in there while the car was towed. The business even told the police that they can take the car because I put my feet on sidewalk for less than 5 seconds but any allows them, not just leaving to another location. I was also forbidden from complaining about damage to the car and told if I didnt leave immediately they would lock car and prevent me from taking it.

      3-29-2024, UNLAWFUL TOW & DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Me and my boyfriend switched cars for the night because he was going to the car wash after he got off. He works at 7/11 on 61st and kedzie he parked in the lot and they towed the vehicle because they said there was no permit to park there.. as a Employee employees are able to park in the lot of the business, which he did. NOW 7/11 have a private towing company so only how a car can get towed out of that lot is if someone who works at 7/11 call, nobody called, & before towing the vehicle the man or lady suppose to come in and make sure that car is suppose to be getting towed NOBODY CAME IN they just took the vehicle, when speaking to the lady at the tow lot she said have the manager call WHICH SHE DID and they lady on the phone was just like oh you have to come pay and hung up basically wasnt trying to hear it. I went and got my vehicle and I went off on everybody there because THATS A UNLAWFUL TOW, after getting my car I noticed the way it drives isnt the same and it stopped on me twice my car has never did that, so they damaged whatever it is they damages which I would want them to figure out and repair or replace, I also called 311 and 911 pertaining to this issue and they officer that came out told me I have a civil case and TO ESCALATE TO THE BBB. My car was the only car towed but WASNT THE ONLY CAR OUT THERE. NOBODY HAS A PERMIT i have a recording of all the cars that was there thats have been there for like 3-4 days if u got mines u shouldve got them all.

      Their truck drivers are accessing cars, removing parking permits and then taking pictures, saying there were no permits displayed, then towing cars. They towed 2 of my vehicles in one night. Both had permits hanging from the rearview mirrors. I never remove my permits. No other person's access or drive my vehicles. When I ask to see the pictures of my vehicles without the permits they deny access to the photos. They say I have to *** them to see it. $218 per vehicle. When I picked up my trucks both vehicles were already unlocked without me attempting to unlock them. This is clearly a violation, trespassing on my personal property and a shake down. How can I prove anything? I have my kids and my wife to testify I have my permits up at all times. Several cars were blocked by neighbors from being towed after mine all legally parked. When asked why they were towing they ran out of there. This company is getting away with this over and over. I own a 2013 **** explorer. I pay $75 a month on top of the rent for the extra parking. I have every right to be there, especially with my permits. My landlord paid to get my trucks out. Because he knows I always have my stickers up in the right spots. This company didn't even want to here him they just demanded money. Yes I can just go on with my life but they are thieves stealing from hard working citizens. This must be stopped.
