    Here is my reason for one star. I have had a service contract with them for many years and is WAS a good experience. Recently I had water in the basement coming from our furnace, which was recently installed by AWE. Called on Sunday night for service and on that call agreed that we could wait until Monday morning. Someone would call me to set up an appointment. Well no call. So I called them and we agreed to a 3-5 appointment window. No one showed up. Called at 5:30 and was to get a call back. No call so called again at 6:30 and no one seemed to have any idea of what was going on and I found I was talking to an after hour service that could not help me so I called the next morning. Set up another 3-5 service time. The service guy arrives! . Comes into the house, dosed not cover or remove his work shoes. We go to the basement where I show him that they issues was and asked that he give me a clear explanation of what happened since this was a newly installed furnace by AWE. He comes and gets me to tell me he "knows the problem. Shows me a clogged drain line and water pump. Then says it was the humidifier, which was not on, and sediment in the water pump then tells me neither are AWE issues. So the installation was not good and no one checked these lines during service calls. They blamed everything on the customer. He replaced the ********************** drain lines and gets ready to leave. I stop him to tell him I an not happy and to have a manager to call me. No- call. I call again and get an agent, and ask them to have a manager call. I needed to talk to someone to understand what was happening as I did not want to cancel my service contract with them and wanted someone with authority to help me. Again no one called and after week I called to cancel my contract. The service agent said they could not do that and would have someone call me that had the authority to do that. No one called so we worked with credit card company to stop payment.

    The technician that visited me on Friday 12/8/23 was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in all aspects. He did the annual inspection of my furnace , recommended some work to think about for the near future which is kind of expensive $728.As a single woman this is very difficult for me. The issue I have is with the no paperwork left for me as everything is now online. As an older person, I am not as tech savvy as this world is pushing us to become . I worry about people older than me who have no one to depend on with computers and may not even have one, so unfair ! There should be continuous paper receipts, unless of course we as customers do not prefer one. Thank You.

    Hi and thank you so much for your feedback. We apologize that the technician didn't give you the option to mail you your invoice, as that is something that we offer and we will do for you today. We tried MANY years to keep paper invoices but the world and technology gave us no choice. However we will be documenting your record to state to send you the paper invoices in the future after your service is completed. As for the repairs you mentioned, they weren't repairs suggested. What he suggested was a uv germicidal light for you, which cleans and disinfects the air that travels through your home. That isn't something that will impede your furnace, it's just a suggestion for a healthier home so no worries there. However, we do have financing options and being that you are on the **** any necessary repairs you may need down the road will be 20% off.     We have had AWE for a short time servicing our HVAC system with excellent results. The technicians were on time, professional, personable, explained everything clearly & all was well. We were told a few times that we should have an air duct cleaning. Finally decided we should do it to have our system be at its best. Its not cheap! Worst decision we made!! AWE dropped several notches as of Nov 13th. ************** was on time, not personable, mentioned someone else was supposed to come too but wasn't ************* explain things at all. We moved furniture so he could easily access all vents. We stayed out of his way. We figured the job would be 2-3 hrs. We have a 4 bedroom home. He was in & out in 75 mins. At one point, we were in our living room as a cloud of dust came spewing from our dining room vent for several minutes. My home was extremely dusty & dirty in all rooms. Took hrs to vacuum, dust, wash floors. Everything had a coat of dust. I wanted to cry I was so disappointed and mad at myself for such a disappointing & costly experience. The three of us in the household experienced sneezing and coughing all day, even my cats sneezing. Never again will we ever have this done. We are a so called VIP member. Certainly didn't feel that way!
