    I applied for an apartment and completed an application on April 8th, and I paid the $40 application fee. I was then contacted and told that I needed to pay $100 "holding fee" for the apartment. So, I paid $100 as well. I was under the impression that since I was asked to pay the $100 that I had been approved for the apartment. When I contacted them again to inquire about being approved for the apartment, they said that no decision was made and that it won't be for a while as there are no apartments available until May 12th!!! I could not wait until May 12th as I needed a place ASAP so I canceled the application on April 15th. Also, what kind of date is May 12th for availability??!! That's unheard of! I called them and had to leave messages (of course). Once I was able to speak with someone, they said that there is still no apartments available and that I would not be refunded any money! I told them that this is absolutely ridiculous as I still haven't even been informed if I have been approved or not!! I have been left in limbo not knowing if I will have a place to live or be homeless!! How can they just take money from someone and provide NO SERVICE AND ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION!!! I tried to reason with them and explain my situation and they would not work with me and now I'm simply out $140 and I desperately need that money, as I'm seriously struggling trying to gather a deposit, let alone just have money for food. I feel that I was scammed with this whole situation and taken advantage of because I was in a situation where I really need a place to live and they just felt like they could take my money and provide nothing to me. Please please assist me in getting my money refunded back to me as I really need it to help put it towards a deposit for a place to live. I am desperate as time is dwindling down to where I'm about to be homeless.

    ******* ******** submitted an application on-line April 8, 2025.  When he applied he paid $140.00.  all at once on-line.  He did not call us and was told that he needed to pay $100 hold fee.  He had already paid the total $140.00.  When he called he was calling to cancel.  Please see the highlighted move in date that he agreed to when he submitted his application on-line which is May 12, 2025.  He chose the move in date of May 12, 2025.  So his stating he needed the apartment ASAP is incorrect.  Apartments became available at all dates during the month but again he requested May 12, 2025.  I have attached his application and additional information you may need.
