It snapped out from underneath me while driving again, the car was sent back to the guy to get it fixed where they did an extension amount of damage to the exterior of the car as well on top of not fixing the repairs that were paid to be fixed Im financing a vehicle that I cant drive ********************* said that theres nothing they can do because the car was past 30 days which they had the car at the dealership since I bought it I have videos and photos from the day I bought the car till now I have videos of them, dragging the vehicle on a trailer and damaging it, which was supposed to be fixed which is not fixed The car was listed on the line for $4999 After financing the vehicle, the price went up to $6951 And I put $3500 down and Well, also purchasing replacement parts for the vehicle So a total of 35 days I had the car for for less then a week

Hello, I am quite concerned with this complaint as it's completely false from the problem with the car to the payee and even the amount of time the vehicle was out of order. To start off, this vehicle was inspected thoroughly by the customer and their "mechanic" and was sold as is as shown with nothing owed and nothing promised. That being said, shortly after the customer bought the vehicle the axle, tie rod end, and sway bar link had broken on the vehicle and that was fixed in a timely matter (a couple of days). Sadly, as soon as the customer was taking the vehicle back the ball joint failed and when it did so it caused the fender to be dented, the only damage to the vehicle that wasn't repaired was this dent and some towing damage. Both of these repairs were done by our preferred shop that we send all of our customers to and the agreement with the customer was for them to pay for half of the repair and us to pay for the other half of the repair.  To address the towing, many cases include slight damage from towing, this damage was not excessive and did not cause the vehicle to become unsafe nor undriveable. Given that this vehicle was sold as is as shown, we decided helping with the repairs of the mechanics of the vehicle was more important than the cosmetics of the vehicle. When it comes to customers, we typically do not discuss their financial position or credit position, but this is not a typical situation and we feel we have the right to explain ourselves. This particular customer had bad credit and it was very difficult to get the customer approved for a loan, that being said, there was an unreasonably high buyers fee for this vehicles financing which we could not have taken out of profits because then we wouldn't be able to sell the vehicle and remain out of the negative with it. Unfortunately, we realize that everyone will not be made happy regardless of the efforts you put in and we do feel for this customer but we will not be providing any further financial assistance with anything on this vehicle. Thank you for time, have a nice day.

I am rejecting this response because:
The dealer is a liar. I went in there with my brother which isnt a mechanic. Also I had the car less then 2 weeks when the sub frame cracked and broke the lower control arm . I went and bought a control arm 200 dollars and tried replacing it myself when I seen the frame had broken. I called him dropped the car off two days later I received a call that it would cost 1500 to repair the sub frame and I would have to pay 500 of it I agreed. When I receive the car back the first time all that was done was the lower control arm that I paid for a the sub frame completely broke. They send the car back to be replaced correct an held it for almost a month again so my 30 day warranty was voided after that through the finance company . I get the car back an the did a bunch exterior damage as well as only poorly welding a pipe to the broke sub frame and I cant get any work orders from him or the mechanic to show the finance company for ***** I have been told by every person I told where I got the car from an everyone says he dose this to everyone. Besides that Im very upset with the situation. Thank you for reviewing my claim.
    Sincerely,

    Business Response

This will be our last response to this customer. The 2011 ****** Legacy in question was purchased from Manheim Auction on April 11, 2023 by Kennedy Auto Center for $5,300 plus a $390 buy fee for a total of $5,690. The ****** was then purchased from Kennedy Auto Center on August 22, 2024 by ******** **** for a selling price of $5,995 plus a $250 State of Illinois document fee, new plates for $316, and taxes of $390 for a total price of $6,951. Mr. **** paid $3,500 cash down payment and financed the remaining $3,451. When we, Kennedy Auto Center, sold this ****** we lost $95 initially not including the repair after the sale. Kennedy Auto Center was written a net check of $3,051 from the bank and received the $3,500 down payment from Mr. **** for a total amount of $6,551. The ****** was purchased, as mentioned, for $5,690 meaning we made $861 but we have to pay taxes, buy plates, and pay the doc fee with that resulting in a total profit of -$95 not including the cost of the repair after the vehicle was sold. This means Kennedy Auto Center sold this vehicle and lost money on it which is fine since we were helping a customer. I know these numbers may be confusing and you may think we are making them up which is exactly why I have attached proof for every statement Ive made. Kennedy Auto Center is no longer going to comment on the towing damage nor the repair work since we are a used car dealership and not a repair shop nor a towing company. To address the idea that people do not like us because we do this to everyone, most of our customers are previous customer referrals and repeat customers. Mr. **** signed directly below, on the bill of sale, the as is as shown with nothing owed and nothing promised with no warranty disclosure meaning he acknowledged and understood it. Please do not let this customers incorrect information and rude opinion tarnish our small businesses name and make it harder to live out our passion of putting dreams in driveways. Thank you for your time, have a nice day.
