I contracted with the company to build an addition and renovate my house. Contract was from September 2021, amount was for $285k. Change orders brought total to $299,890.33. Substantial completion occurred January 21, 2022. There were a few items that needed to be finalized, but entire process with them up to that point had been great. I was told they would be back in March 2022 (when warmer) to complete the items. The contract we have included a 2 year warranty, so I had no concern. When March came, I reached out asking when they would be out. I proceeded to get told they wouldnt be out, he included additional invoices for work that was not authorized as extra. He told me to contact his attorney and he would block my phone and email if I tried to contact him again. The items outstanding include items you would find in normal warranty work for construction: 1. addition sink stopper adjustment, hot water line in mudroom froze 4 times over winter (part of coming back in march), wiring for a welder needed to be upsized for amp (part of coming back in march), exterior caulk at windows where building wrap exposed, open/exposed exterior outlet, kitchen outlets that fault all the time, addition and renovation air conditioners that arent operating (couldnt test due to weather and timing), and tools that his crews took from my garage that needed to be replaced. I tried to contact his attorney, and he stated he was not hired for this case.I am working with my attorney currently and issuing a letter to contractor for last chance for them to finish the project and stand behind their work. The next step will be to hire someone to correct the items and *** the company. If it goes that direction, I want to make sure that others are aware of this company and their inability to stand behind their services.
