I bought this injection pump from thedieselstore.com in May 2021. The pump failed and began over fueling my engine and caused a runaway condition, melting two pistons and bending the connecting rods and causing additional damage to the cylinder head and injectors. I contacted the company and advised them of the issue and I needed to warranty the pump. They had me speak with their support tech who agreed the pump failed and caused the issue. I spoke again with their customer service **** ***** who told me to send the pump to their ****** location for repair. After inspecting the unit, ***** informed me they would not warranty the pump, claiming it had been over revved and I could buy another pump from them. The pump is what controls the engine speed, so it's failure is what caused the over revving issue. I've had to rebuild the engine after this failure. I haven't asked for any compensation for the damage their part caused to the engine, I just want them to repair or replace the pump, so I can finish putting this car back together and get it running. I'm a qualified technician who has worked on vehicles for close to *********************************** automotive and truck repair and have a list of awards. I've attached pictures, my resume, email correspondence, and the receipt.Business response

We are unable to repair or replace under warranty products that are caused to fail due to external causes. The improper engine function, over revving, was determined by our technicians not to have been caused by our product.

I am rejecting this response because:The failure was not caused by over revving the engine or abuse. It failed and caused the engine to run away and caused engine damage. I spoke to one of their technicians and he agreed that the pump caused the failure. Theyve made up this excuse later to avoid honoring their warranty.
Sincerely,
