I bought the jojoba oil at H-E-B in ** and within a couple of months it grew what looked like mold and fuzzy debris in the oil. This cant be healthy for anyone.Business response

The consumer should have been able to bring this product back to HEB for a refund.
If she didn't, NOW Foods customer service would gladly send out a call tag and pick up the product so we can evaluate the product and hopefully determine what may have happened.
Please have the consumer contact customer service at *********************************************** so we can pick up the product and replace or give credit for a new item at the same value.Initial Complaint

I placed order Number: LV19857576 From lucky vitamin and returned it last month for a refund. I have not received my full refund, and their website is closed. I was transferred to NowFoods to fix my issue. It says its the same company. Have your billing team look into this and issue the refund immediately. Or further action wil be taken thanksBusiness response

I am rejecting this response because: please resolve the issue immeditaely. Issue the refund and send me the refund receipt. This business is closing and tried to reject my refund for no good reason, and attempted to scam me. Their policy clearly states opened or closed products can be returned. Now they claim the products were empty. It does not matter. I bought a vitamin, i used it for one month and it did not help me at all. I need an explanation why they tried ti change their own policy and scam me out of my money. Otherwise i will be taking legal action

The customer was refunded for order ********** on 3/14/2023 in the amount of $177.93, and for order LV19861833 $70.07 on 3/13/2023. The difference in both refunds is $15.90, which is the label fee of $7.95 (2) in which the customer used our labels to return the parcels. We processed the additional $15.90 refund on 3/15/23 to settle this complaint, and will send the customer an email.Customer response

i took Now brand prenatal vitamens with dha, withon 30 minutes of taking these I bled heavily & am now facing a miscarraige. These vitamens contain borage oil, which I since learned rhat pregnant woman should not take because it can cause bleeding, birth defects, & miscarraiges, & many other problems. This is very irresponsible & unethical that this company would sell this prenatal vitamen with borage oil & not post a warning label. How msnu babies has your company killed? why would they use borage oil, what health bennefits are there to pregnant woman? I want a reason.Business response

Thank youfor the opportunity to respond to the complaint, filed with the Better BusinessBureau (BBB) on or about July 8, 2021, regarding an experience with NOWs PrenatalGels + DHA. NOW Foods (NOW) is aware of the trust its customers place in it,and we take consumer complaints very seriously.
NOWstrives to take every possible step to ensure the safety and efficacy of everyproduct we produce. Our toxicologist conducted a safety review of borage oil,which included a review of current medical literature. Their review concludedthat the amount of borage oil per serving in the product is safe in pregnantwomen. NOWs Prenatal Gels + DHA provide a suggested daily dose of 25mg of GLAper day, which is eleven times lower than the 270mg GLA per day dose used in asix-month clinical study in pregnant women. In a review of the past 10 years ofproduct complaints, NOW has not received reports of incidents of this naturerelated to its prenatal formulas.
We also received a similar complaint from this same customer via NOWs website which our Customer ServiceDepartment received on July 8, 2021. A Nutritionist from NOWs ***************************** responded to the website submission directly on July 9,2021 for more information so NOW may begin its internal investigation. Eachconsumer complaint is investigated thoroughly. Each customer complaint involvesinspection and testing of the retained sample for the specific lot numberinvolved, review of all testing records, if applicable, an additional safetyreview of the product and reporting the incident to the Food and ****************** ****** when required.
We arevery sorry this customer had a negative experience with one of our products. We willcontinue to work with her to address her concerns, provide a refund for theproduct and keep her apprised of the results of our investigation.Customer response
