  We hired River City Plumbing of Batavia in June of 2023 to restore the plumbing in our new kitchen, bring our plumbing up to code and move plumbing as permitted to maximize new kitchen configuration for new cabinetry.River City in 6 months has failed to restore plumbing, get plumbing updated properly to code for the new kitchen in 5 separate trips.On 11/21 River City cut into the main stack in the kitchen adding new PVC to pre existing AVS piping,and changed the trap in the bathroom to address a leak under sink from work they had done previously.River City failed to properly seal the new stack and test new plumbing while on scene resulting in a leak that damaged our new kitchen, bathroom , walls , dry wall , flooring and basement due to unmitigated water flowing freely for 4 days. The team also improperly emptied the water from the bathroom trap into the back of a toilet that does not hold water independent of the tank as it is a high pressure toilet.Water fell from the toilet and onto the bathroom floor damaging trim and cabinets in the bathroom.Toilet was checked by other plumbers and the integrity is completely intact and no reason toilet should have had water in it unless added by someone.River City sent a plumber on 11/25 after we insisted that they address emergency. **** the plumber on duty took pictures, stated that his co-workers had failed to seal the leak and used the wrong couplings. He was able to stop leak but did not have adapters to properly close out job. This remains undone to date along with several other key aspects of plumbing.We are demanding a complete refund, payment to address damages to new kitchen, bathroom and walls and funds to rectify remaining plumbing to restore plumbing.7 months of no progress, unresolved plumbing and damage to house. This is negligent
