      We have used Shred-It twice since I started in 2020, once in 2021 and again in 2024. Shred-It is stating that we used them twice in 2020 within a month of each other. They send you a ************* Agreement via Docusign which I have on dated 6/22/2021. The provided the service on 6/30/2021. On 6/27/2024, I received our 2nd Agreement and provided service on 7/16/2024. On 9/12/2024, I received an email with two invoices attached. They said that we received a 2nd service on 8/4/2021. We do not produce enough paper recycling to have them come out twice within a month of each other. I asked for a Service Agreement, showing that we agreed for a 2nd Service for that date but as of today, still have not received one. For our service in 2024, we paid by check and they also took funds out via the credit card we had on file. I informed them of this double payment but they keep saying that we owe them for the 2nd service in 2021.

      The company called and offered service but would not provide a time, they provided a window and I mentioned that I work I will not be able make that time.I cancelled. The company showed up at my home anyway, I was not home. They left. They charged my credit card for a service they never provided.I called the company to resolve, however they would not. I also asked them for documentation that stated the pricing charges and they were unable to provide.This was a fraudulent charge and I would like to reimbursed.

      On May 28, 2025, a formal Notice of Termination was sent to Shred-It (Stericycle) regarding the service agreement dated September 20, 2019. The termination was due to repeated and serious service failures, including:-A mischarge of $107.61 for a service on November 20, 2024, which was never performed -Inconsistent responses and lack of proper communication about the charge -To date, no resolution or refund of the $107.61 has been provided -A driver was dispatched on May 14, 2025, despite prior written notice that services were suspended until June 4, 2025 -The agreement was auto-renewed for 60 months without effective notice, rendering the renewal invalid -No sufficient notice was given regarding annual price increases since 2019 Under the agreements Service Guarantee clauseallowing termination if material complaints remain unresolved for 30 dayswe exercised our right to terminate the contract immediately and without further ********** the termination notice, we requested:-Written confirmation of no further charges -A refund of the $107.61 mischarge -Coordination for final pickup of Shred-*** bin ******** Shred-It continued to send automated service reminders and failed to respond to both the May 28 notice and a June 16 follow-up email. This lack of response has caused administrative burden and the risk of improper charges.We are filing this complaint to formally request BBB assistance in securing:-Acknowledgment of the May 28 termination -Immediate removal of Shred-*** equipment -Written confirmation the account is closed -A refund of the $107.61 charge

      Company charged my credit card for $383.54 on April 1, 2025. Charged again on April 21 for same amount. I have been calling and am told they will 'open a ticket'. When I call back they 'open a ticket.' Today, April 30, they have no record. They have asked for proof from me twice that I was charged twice which I have sent twice. I keep getting emails that the issue is resolved. It is not resolved. I need the credit card credited. I have informed them that I do not authorize any additional charges to that card.       We signed a 5 year contract with *****-it. They automatically renewed our contract in 2023 with no notice to us and have increased their cost substantially over the period. They are charging us 4.45x the cost we have been quoted by a competitor. I have been emailing with ***** from their retention department. We asked them to price match the competitor which they wont. They also want to charge us over 3K to break the contract they automatically renewed without following Georgia Consumer Protection Laws. I told this to ***** and he just gave me a mailing address for their legal ***** They are predatory and no one should ever use this company. The Consumer protection law requires them to give us notice, and for us to respond to that notice to affirm we wish to keep our contract. The statute they have broken is 2022 Georgia Code Title 13 - Contracts Chapter 12 - Automatic Renewal Provisions 13-12-3. Notice to Consumer Prior to Automatic Renewal of a Service Contract I have also filed a complaint with the *******************************************************.

      I had a scheduled pick up for boxes on 04/09/2025. The company showed up to pick up the boxes and they were not ready, I asked about rescheduling and the driver told me that I can reschedule AND that there would be no charge for this pick up.. He volunteered the information about cost, I did not specifically ask this. When I received the invoice, I immediately contacted customer service and they "opened a ticket for the local office". I received word back from them: "Dear S*****,Unfortunately upon validating the charge with the local branch the charge is valid :" Our policy is if they confirm a service date and we show up and there not ready (for whatever reason) they will be charged the minimum charge, I Will reschedule them for next week on the 23rd. ". This is despite the multiple times that I made them aware of the verbal agreement and immediately rescheduled the appointment. I was contacted by my account representative for rescheduling and responded to his email asking for him to further review the concern and the verbal promise made by the employee of the company. I have received no response from him. I sent him an email 04/15/2025 at 1:23 PM. There is still no response or resolution to the contrary information promised by the company.

      On March 12, 2025 I spoke with ******** ***** with Shred It to arrange for a one time shred it visit for the law firm of *******, Browning, ***************** in ******, **. Customer #********** and invoice #**********. We went over the details and he quoted me $329.62 for 110 boxes with 10 of the boxes being free. My employer agreed and Shred It came out to pick up the boxes. We get an invoice for $2,340.30! Nowhere near the price we were quoted. I emailed both the proposal and the invoice to ******** requesting some explanation regarding the price difference. ******** provided a response claiming he went over additional fees with me. He did not. We would not have had them come out for $2,340.30. We were also supposed to have received a 25% discount which I confirmed with ********, however nowhere on the invoice does it show the discount. ******** claims its in there however. He was very unapologetic and I'm sure he uses this bait and switch method quite often.

      I am filing this complaint on behalf of ******************** regarding an ongoing and unresolved issue. Despite making multiple phone calls and email attempts over the last two years, we have never received a single successful pick-up, and yet we have been billed consistently each month and our account has not been cancelled with several requests.Over the last two years, we have repeatedly tried to schedule a pick-up, but only one truck ever arrivedand that was for shred services, which we dont even have an account for.We were then told that our account was on a call basis, and we called numerous times to request service, with no follow-up.I have made several attempts to cancel our account. I was told our account had been canceled and I would receive a follow-up phone call within two business days. That call never came.On March 26, 2024, I called again due to continued invoices. I spoke with Jezel, who gave me reference #********, said our account was still active, and that someone would call me back. No one has followed up.These are just a few of the reference numbers I have from the many, many calls I have made.We have paid faithfully for a service that has never been rendered. We have made repeated, good-faith efforts to get clarity, cancel the account, and stop the charges. We have never been contacted by a manager despite asking to escalate the ******** this point, we are requesting:Immediate and permanent cancellation of our account A written confirmation of that cancellation That the current account balance be written off, as it is for services never rendered Refunds for payments made with no services rendered No further billing or collection efforts

      We have had ongoing issues with Stericycle. They would come to my office after hours or on days when my business was closed. They would bill me despite having not provided a service. Because of there terrible customer service I wanted to opt out of my contract. They were extremely difficult to work with and would not let me out of the contract nor would they offer any type of resolution to my problems. Ultimately, after filing a review with the BBB, they did allow me to break my contract. I paid my remaining balance (which in my estimation was about double what was accurate), but I was just happy to not have to deal with them anymore. My contract ended on January 28th. Since, January 28th, They have debited my account around $800 in total. I attempted to allow them to correct the mistake, but they are unwilling to do anything about it. This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received with anything and it just doesn't stop. almost two months after my contract with them was terminated, they have debited money from account on multiple occasions.

      I have been trying to reach Shred It since at least December 2nd, if not before. December 2nd was my first contact where I recorded the case number. Our key is lost and we are unable to use the service. We left a note on the tote, requesting to allow us to retrieve the key and the driver disregarded this and took our tote. I have made at least 3 contacts by phone and at least 4 contacts by email to get a replacement key. I was assured multiple times that we would be provided another key, and without fail, I am still waiting. I escalated this to the local supervisor of our region; he assured we would get a key. When the driver came for a pickup, the driver knew nothing about it. I was charged an overage on our last pickup as I could not get paper in the tote, since it is locked and we have no key. I am requesting an account cancellation.
