Hi there, I would not bring a car back to *** if I was paid to. Im giving *** at Suburban Trim&Glass 2 stars because the ***DO (2nd convertible top he installed? Is acceptable) better than the first one he installed. The first top *** installed had a 6 inch scratch on the passenger side he did not see. I did not see the crudely installed staples until I put the top down, however I did see the 4 staples that fell out before the ***DO because *** recommends keeping the top up 10 day after installation. The first top was not centered making the passenger side tight & the drivers side loose and baggy. His answer for the off center install? Itll stretch? Really? The scratch? He told me he didnt notice but he would call for a warranty issue to get another top. The 2nd top looks correct. ALSO I told ******** wanted the original *** top back not once! Several times. I dropped the car off at 8:00 AM picked up the car 1 PM the next day asked for the original top, his answer with an attitude? He cut the original top off threw it away and the garbage man took it! Really? Sounds like my dog at ate my homework to me. Or is there a difference in quality ? The second top has a darker spot! *** told me it was a steam mark **** go away! A month later after 1 hand car wash and driving in 3 good rainfalls? The marks still there. Thats on the 2nd top.I waited 20 years to replace the *** top and yes i did not approve of the first top so I went to three of Bobs competitors 2 told me they couldnt believe Bod did the work. They also told me they give certified warranty & instructional paper work on the tops they install. *** gives a vague hand written receipt. The estimates from the 3 shops was about the same price as Bobs. *** did seat work on the car bout 10 years ago and I was impressed. What did I learn? Today I would take the car for at least 3 estimates for a fabric convertible top replacement why? prices were within a hundred bucks of Bobs.
