    Elite Restoration, hired **** from EB Flooring on 12/8/22 to install *** flooring at our rental house at ************************************************* that is currently in the renovation process. **** was paid in full - $5,382.68 to: install *** flooring, prep floor, 6 mil plastic and 17 steps. **** began the job on 12/9/22. **** was paid in full in mid January 2023.**** did not finish the job. The job he did was subpar and unprofessional. 1. ***** did not 'rack' the flooring out before he installed it. Floor racking is a vital step that ensures you have high-quality wood, optimal color variation and appropriate plank lengths i.e. seam placement.2. In several rooms where **** installed the **** the floors flexed and bowed.3. **** - he did not install the *** on the steps.**** was contacted by Elite Restoration and asked him to correct these issues. **** REFUSED.Elite used employees of their own to: ******* up the ENTIRE flooring that **** had incorrectly installed. Once the flooring was pulled up, they saw where **** had NOT prepped the floors in any way; self leveling compound, etc. prior to installing the ***. **** had used 2x4's and wooden shims to level out the ***!Elite left several messages on ****'s phone to which he did not respond. When Elite finally got a hold of **** in February and advised him of all the issues with the install job then asked him to correct these issues **** refused, I was told in a very unprofessional and vulgar manner.

    Im sorry for the confusion but this contractor did not pay me several jobs prior to yours. And they were made aware of the issues dont stair as far as self leveling and they said no money in the budget for that. I was not paid for the job and they did contact me to fix issues I told them I would if I could get paid for prior jobs that were past due 6 months

    I am rejecting this response because: **** accepted this job, invoiced out this job and he was paid in full for this job before the work was completed. ****'s installation job including prep was subpar and very clearly was not up to industry standards.  I was told by Elite restoration that this is the 1st time that **** was used. I was also told by Elite that **** is a certified LVP installer. As far a no money in the budget, for floor prep; self leveling compound, etc. that is completely untrue!

    **** needs to take responsibility for the unprofessional and subpar work that he did and reimburse us. **** did not and has not made any effort to correct the very unsatisfactory job.
