      Good afternoon,

I will start by saying that ******* ****** was a great customer for years up until January 2025. We had contact with the customer on 02/26/2025 were he stated his son was in the hospital at that time and then got upset we called but stated he would have the account up to date on 03/14/2025. After nothing was received there was no contact with him until 03/17/2025 were he then told us to start legal proceedings because he was not going to pay us. The next contact with the customer was on 04/22/2025 when he stated he was going to file Bankruptcy, that was the first time we were told of the Bankruptcy.

with that, there will be no more contact with the customer.

      Thank you

      ****

I recived a call from the manager. The manager was extremely disrespectful and made a legal threat. Threatening to *** me for two very small payments. One I missed when I was unemployed another most recently due to a bank error. The owner did not care and refused to work with me. His idea of working with me was pay now, come into the office and make a payment arrangement or I will *** you. They have not called me before. This is the first time that I even heard about this. So I calmly attempted to let him know I am more then happy to pay this once I get my taxes or next payday. The owner said absolutely not. Either you come in or Ill ***. I explained that I do not drive. I was also working and I couldnt just leave my job at a moments notice. I have no time that allows for me to up and leave or my employer will terminate me. The owner told me I dont care Im suing you. Very disrespectful man. Asking for two small small payment of $61.00 each? I paid most of my loan down and the nerve of this man who is really ignorant of the consumer **** collection practices. He really has no right to talk to me the way he did. Nor its unreasonable for him to threaten me over such a small amount of money especially since I tried to make an arrangement in good faith. I can see from the numerous complaints that this is a constant is*** with this owner acting like a tyrant. I am complaining because this disrespectful and unethical way this company treats their customers is completely unacceptable. Because of this threat. I am forced to file a complaint with the state attorney generals office so this childish behavior can stop. I will never do business with this company again. I will tell all my friends and family to never ever get a loan here and I know ALOT of people in Idaho.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to this complaint.    I have conducted a full investigation into these allegations, and we will not tolerate any collection practices that violate state or federal law.

*********** is the manager of the office and contacted the customer based on his failure to honor the contract he signed.   The customer became irate when the payment arrangements were not satisfactory, and was informed what the next steps would be should he not pay his agreed upon obligations.    It is very important that all consequences are presented to the customer so they can make an informed decision.

Finally, the amount the customer calls "such a small amount" is not small to us, and is it is so small, why not just pay it?  The customer was able to come to our office to get the money, so i don't think it's unreasonable to come back and pay the money.   With over 30 years in this industry I can assure you the last thing we want to do is devote our resources collecting  debts through the legal system.
We will withhold further collection activity until the end of February.   The customer has that time to make the loan current. Otherwise we will pursue other means afforded by the state of Idaho to collect this delinquent account.

8/18/23 I spoke to the manager of the company, ****. I had called earlier this week and he was on vacation and whoever answered the phone said they would get a message to **** and then he would call me back and then today they send me a email stating that my account is past due and they need to hear from me so I called. (they never say their name) On my account I have ran behind on my payments and also not kept my payment plans due to losing my job and my son having issues from his dad passing away in May. **** states he has bent over backwards for me to help me and that I just dont know when people are trying to help me. I do not feel comfortable speaking with anyone employed there. Every time I get off the phone with them I am in tears. I have been paying on this loan a long time and have renewed several times. I cant get out of this payday loan trap but I had no choice. I am not requesting to not make my payments but I did ask **** what would happen if this went legal since I am 3 payments behind and he refused to give me any information and just told me that he runs the company and makes all final decisions. I feel like I have no where else to go since I cannot deal with anyone that works there. Also, I dont feel like they should be able to speak to people like that.

In an effort to resolve this complaint,  we will freeze any further charges and we will stop the legal process that we are permitted to pursue.    With such a severely delinquent account,  the customer is highly encouraged to make a satisfactory payment arrangement with the office.   We will give her 10 days to offer a resolution.  Both parties must agree and sign it.

Once this agreement is in place, there will be no further attempt to collect this debt or contact the delinquent customer.  Should the customer fail to uphold the agreed upon payment schedule,  all collection efforts will resume.  We will continue to report to the credit agency the status of the original account,  as it is our responsibility and lawful duty to report accurate payment history.

Also worth noting is the number of employees in this office is 3.  ****,  ******,  and ***************   Nobody at any time will refuse to give their name.   It's counterproductive to chase down delinquent accounts and not have them contact the person who is trying to reach them.

The purpose of the Better Business Bureau is not to complain about a business doing their job when the customer can't meet their previously agreed upon obligations.   The office is doing their job,  trying to collect a debt.   We have been honest, forthright,  and firm.   We apologize if this is misinterpreted as rude.
