On Sept 27, 2023, Linear Home Improvements (LHI) sent me an invoice agreement to build a 2 story addition at **********************************************************. *************************** needed me to make 3 installment payments from the invoice dated Sept 27, 2023: Check # *** on August 23, 2023 for $7,500.00 for construction permit, equipment, fuel & time both for entire project; Check # *** for $25,000.00 on September 29, 2023 for lumber package to be delivered to site on October 2, 2023; Check # *** for $10,00.00 on November 3, 2023 for extra materials to jack up the existing house. I also paid a past due port-a-potty bill that I was unaware of and that he demanded I pay $1,068,75. As of 5.31.24, LHI failed to complete what our agreement stated. *** wont refund me for the job because owner *************************** doesnt have it. There are no receipts for materials, and no evidence of the work paid for was allocated correctly to the work done. Also, the work started will need to be corrected as a result of LHI walking off the site. Therefore, I believe *************************** spent the money personally on flight school he is attending, his upcoming wedding in 2024, his kids gymnastics, etc. What LHI did: dug some holes, removed 2 trees and left debris everywhere, purchased some footings which are randomly laying all over the property. In the process, LHI damaged the roof, destroyed the shed, and compromised the existing structures foundation and left the property outside an unsafe disaster zone including a tree that has been deemed a hazard risk by tree professionals. The original project that our agreement stated has not been completed by Linear Home Improvements. The project all in cost is $89,518.00, I have paid $43,568.75. The contractor out of the blue told me to pay him more money in May 2024 ($140,000) to continue the job otherwise he stated our business is done and we would part ways. This is unacceptable and needs to be made right by LHI.
